Great Fortune Design Hotel & Spa

- Communication is so Bad , - Service BAD, if you call them to give room service they forgot and after 1 hours i go recaption and bring myself - Breakfast same manu everyday no new manu even they use so many eggs manu. Only one Sosage every day they keep in manu. - In breakfast coffee not good - Room is good but there two part one is tiels anther side is wood but both side not equal so in first day i broke my finger. - Added pictures with all issues - they are not changing dirty things like cup, Toilet towels, etc - They don't provide any have face tissues and they're concern if you need you should asked them and you bring from reception some pics. - They dont provide any spoon for tea or any other's things.

First of all, facilities of hotel were terrible: the entrance stairs are steep and dangerous, one can easily fall. If we arrive to hotel first day, the staff did not take a notice of us out and we had to wait a long time for check-in. Communication with the staff was difficult because they never gave any reliable and accurate information on any of my questions: they have been asked to send invoice for the hotel by e-mail that they promised to do), so far this has not been done although it was promised - they do not keep their promises. Breakfast was below any expectations - poor choice of food, quality and appearance of food - not inviting at all. Also the tables were so worn out that they looked very dirty. One day the room wasn't cleaned - when we asked to clean, our wish was again ignored. Location is good. Value for money is absolutely no. Overall we are not happy with the hotel, waiting so far the bill for the hotel stay.

Além de sujo, tinha toalhas velhas que pareciam lixas, café da manhã muito ruim, atendimento sofrível. Uma estrela já seria muito para esse hotel. Estranho o fato de estar nas indicações do Trip.com. Nunca mais neste hotel!!

My husband and I were not happy with our stay here. The front desk staff was rude and they overcharge for tours and food. The room wasn't too bad, but the linen was not clean and we did not open the window curtains because the full length windows were on street level and there were businesses across the street and motorcycles parked in front of our room. There were people contantly walking or standing in front of our window as well. We also made a reservation for 9 days/8nights, but we were told they had no more rooms on day 3. We had to pack our stuff, check-out and walk about 10 - 15 minutes in the rain to their other hotel Great Fortune Hotel where we had the worst experience we have ever had in any hotel. The front desk staff charged us a deposit they did not want to give back. We had to ask multiple times before it was given to us. They also harrass you forcibly to pay for overpriced tours and keep trying to convince you after you say no. Do yourself a favor and avoid the Great Fortune Design Hotel and the Great Fortune Hotel. You work too hard and take too long to get here to not enjoy your stay. There are much better hotels in the area that are still close to all attractions where you will have a much better experience.

It is unacceptable in the hotel to do it before noon, they don’t care about the customers. Of course why would they if they ask to pay for a stay when checking in. If you are lucky and they don’t renovate during your stay - the walls in the hotel are so thin and isolation so bad that you will enjoy listening to your neighbours at 1 a.m. or early mornings taking shower, opening/closing doors, blowing their noses and so on. If you like gossips and hearing exactly what other people talk in the next room - this place is for u. The spa in the hotel also not great, the ladies in the spa massage treat you like they don’t care and want you to leave as soon as possible. ——— UPDATE ——— After hotel management heard about our problems during the stay they did try to make our last hours in Istanbul good and felt sorry their hotel did not meet the expectations. I’m case you choose to stay here - share any problems with hotel employees and I’m sure they will try to make it good

Handy location, nice room, lovely staff, terrible breakfast. Design Hotel has a nice foyer, staff were extremely welcoming, friendly & helpful throughout our entire stay. Our room was very comfortable & nicely decorated. The bathroom was tiny. Unsure how someone of a larger size could fit in the bathroom let alone the shower. Only real negative is the hotel breakfast. The choice & quality of food is very poor. Definitely not worth the money when there are a number of lovely cafes in the vicinity serving breakfast. We had a fantastic hamam & Turkish bath in the spa next door. Would recommend

I am sorry I did not read through the negative reviews by people with many contributions to Tripadvisor before choosing this hotel. Because the negative reviews are all more or less true. It seems that the single contribution positive reviews are all fakes (they also have very similar pictures). The hotel practically ruined our trip to Istanbul. You could not close the window door - they did nothing to repair it or change the room although we asked at least three to four times. Due to traffic noise coming through the window it was hard to sleep. Note we even received a suggestion "take a trip with us and we will change the room". We took a trip which was ok but nothing regarding the room changed (obviously). Rooms are rather dirty. There were lots of things (like candies) on the floor from previous occupants. My wife cleaned the floor a couple of times so that it was more bearable. Holes in bed linen - how is this even possible? You always expect a slight difference to the photos when you come to a location but oh my what a difference it is. Light years. First time in my life that I did not know what to eat at breakfast (which is btw in a basement with no windows). You have fruits at every corner in Istanbul and there were no fruits apart from one sliced orange and some other pieces at breakfast? The boiled eggs were very dirty on the outside. Just horrible. Two different types of bread. I ended up eating chocolate spread or just butter on bread and then ate something outside of the hotel for breakfast. Avoid at all cost.
