A nice hotel in a very good location. Not sure how it is 5 Stars though. There was a few broken things in the room but a good all rounder hotel. I will stay there again.

I recently spent 2 weeks at The Craton and while the rooms were small and may be a tight fit for 2 or more people it was perfect for just myself. Breakfast buffet was great I enjoyed the variety of food on offer. Staff were great, very helpful, and while in my room and getting to know the cleaning ladies I soon learned who did a great job and who did the bare minimum. The location was definitely great having the Cevahir and Metro just a few minutes walk down the road. One night the air conditioning was struggling and turning off and on and another night the hot water took a long time to come on but other than that I couldn’t say there were any issues with my stay.

This is by far one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. Upon checking in I have arrived with yellow stained bed sheets, duvet and the worst part the pillow had massive yellow stains. When spoke to the receptionist they were very unhelpful and had big attitude even though I have arrived to a hotel in such state that claim they are 5 stars. I repeatedly asked them to fully refund me as I was disgusted by their hygiene but they refused to refund me. They brought the chief housekeeping in which she witnessed the state of the duvet, pillow case and all bedding sheets that was full of yellow stains. To make the matters worst I was shocked at the state of the mattress and the massive yellow stains in them. I was in absolute disgust. Truly horror state Everyday after housekeeping come to clean and change bed sheets I get yellow stained sheets covers that genuinely had a horrible bad smell to them. I had to call them in to change it on many occasions but no hope all they do is say “sorry” and change it. No manager on sight to even to complain too which shocked me. Receptionist rude and constantly giggling and not taking care and not feeling empathetic towards me. Swimming pool was closed for most of my stay due to “maintenance” everyday. Same food for breakfast and little options. Breads were rock hard on some days. I am really concerned how this hotel has even received 5 stars. As I am frequent traveller I have never felt the need to post such detailed negative review but this hotel has pushed their limits and ignored me and my issues. I have been asking to speak to manger to discuss about my stay. However i constantly get the answer of “ manager not on sight” “manger is busy we will get in touch with you” but no one got in touch. It was as if they were hiding to not speak to me until I checked out. Please see all images taken from the hotel which shows the state of hygiene in there. I will definitely take this further with this hotel. As I have all the evidence to back this with the photos attached I would not recommend this hotel to anyone especially if you suffer from allergies or have kids as this hotel is extremely dirty and unhygienic. Beware! I am yet to receive a call to discuss about my hotel with the manger.

If you remember, we changed your room. You were also satisfied in this situation. Our pool was under periodic maintenance and was closed for 2 days for your health.The purpose of this is to protect the health of our valued guests. As for breakfast, our buffet is renewed every day and stale bread is out of the question. Another issue; You said you couldn't reach the manager. This is absolutely not true, it is even in our camera records that our manager is interested in you.
