Nuba Istanbul

The hotel is original, located up the hill with the fantastic view. The hotel consist of several small houses which are rooms, located on the territory. We stayed in on of the standard house (standard room). In a good weather the hotel is great, but we stayed when the rain happend and it was cold outside (in January). I would recommend only for warm weather,because it was cold in the room and especially very cold in a bathroom. Staff is great and helpfull, breakfast was fantastic. The only one thing that is very cold and not comfortable in the room during the cold and rainy weather.

Everything was great, but the initial reception shattered me. I called days in advance to inform them that we would be coming as bride and groom and that we would check in at night. We arrived at NuBa in wedding attire at 2 AM, and despite me providing my ID, they insisted on asking for the bride's ID as well. I said we could go to the room, and I would bring it, but they said they couldn't proceed with the check-in. She was in her wedding dress, we had a wedding car, and I didn't say I would bring it hours later. I said I would find it among our belongings once we were in the room. This kind of reception is unacceptable. I had asked if they could prepare the room since it was our honeymoon, but that wasn’t done either. This situation really stressed me out. The place itself is very peaceful, quiet, and beautiful, and I'm still here, but really, asking for the bride's ID at 2 AM? From someone in a wedding dress... And I even said I would bring it once we got to the room. We were made to wait like that for minutes...
