Tucked away above Loch Ness Foyers House is a tremendous place to stay. Spotlessly clean, beautifully presented and cheerfully hosted it proved to be a perfect overnight stop and end to a holiday. Although only one night spent here we would have liked to spend more, but we needed to move on. Our room was of a good size, very well appointed and with a comfortable bed. My one moan is the weight of the duvet - its a moan I have about many establishments, and its a personal thing but given how well heated the room was (and indeed the whole of the hotel) I cant understand why such heavy bed coverings are used - we removed the duvet and slept under the cover. Apart from that minor issue everything else was excellent, especially the spacious and easily operated shower - and the view from our room wasn't too bad either!! The dining room/bar was comfortable and the simple menu was very good, the burger I had was one of the best I can remember. And then there is the whiskey wall - if you like whiskey this is the place for you, with 204 available to try - if the weather is good (as it was for our stay) sitting on the verandah, looking across the loch and sipping your drink is a near perfect experience. If we are in the area again we will be making a beeline for here
