High March

這個酒店是這次旅行中的一大亮點，原本是把這個地方作為一個短暫停留點的，沒想到會有這樣的大驚喜。 酒店是掩映在樹林中的一座房子，面對湖面，非常幽靜；酒店房間設施舒適温馨，也很寬敞；早餐很豐富，有多種選擇；有停車位，很方便；酒店老闆很熱情、周到，還幫我們預訂了晚餐的餐廳。 很適合度假、放鬆、放空的地方。 推薦！

GREAT setting in Drumnadrochit, about 1/2 hour drive south of Inverness. We were looking for a very quiet and peaceful place to rest with a great view. We got that and so much more at High March. We booked it through Trip.com and our host Stuart was so accommodating. He attended to our every need to the point of setting up dinner reservations for us at two wonderful restaurants in the area. His continental brakfast was EXCELLENT and he was so attentive as he served us and two other sets of guests each morning in a beautiful sunroom overlooking the loch. He really did his homewrok with setting up his BnB, our room was cozy, clean, updated and once again, the view out the window overlooking the loch was SO beautiful.

We received wonderful step by step directions that resulted in us arriving at Beautiful High March. This B&B is family run, who also stay on site. Stewart and family are extremely friendly and happy to help with anything needed. Stewart was extremely helpful with activities for us to do in the area and on route to our next location that we managed to squeeze into our stay. (Corrimony Cairn/Commando memorial/Neptune staircase) Our Room was a wonderful size with patio doors that opened onto a breathtaking view. Lights and heating can all be controlled by Alexa. A tablet and headphones are also in the room incase you want to watch different things. Cheeky pair of binoculars also on the windowsill to take an even closer look at Nature right on the door step. Located five minutes outside of Drumnadrochit, but the owner gave us excellent directions and we found it without a problem. You do need to drive to find somewhere to eat (and there’s very limited choice in the evenings), but the owners recommended the Loch Ness Inn which we dropped in to before arrival and the food and beer were excellent Warm friendly welcome by the lady of the house, showed us around and explained everything. Room was excellent – very spacious and all controlled by Amazon Echo (including the heating). View from our window was across Loch Meiklie and there were even binoculars in the room for a better view. Coffee / tea making facilities with an array of snacks to help ourselves to if we wanted. Bathroom was great with large walk in shower. Bed was large and very comfortable. Breakfast was continental only, but it was stunning. Wide range of pastries, cereal, fruit etc with a selection of cold meats and different cheeses – one of our favourite breakfasts of our two weeks in Scotland. The hosts Stu and his wife were first class – excellent conversation over breakfast Great value for money. Would definitely stay here again if we’re ever in this part of the country.

We've just had a fabulous two nights at High March, where Stu has thought of everything that you could possibly need to make your stay memorable. The B&B is tucked away, just outside of Drumnadrochit, in a quiet, peaceful location. The views to the loch are amazing and the rooms are spotlessly clean and so comfortable. The continental breakfast was delicious, and Stu was able to recommend local restaurants and also tourist attractions that were worth a visit. High March is a really good base for exploring the Highlands and it was so nice to have a place that you looked forward to getting back to, after a long day! We will definitely be back
