"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 The staff at Apollo Bay Motel & Apartments were very helpful and made the check-in process extremely easy by clearly guiding us through every step. Their communication was excellent and very friendly. The room was warm, clean, and comfortable. The accommodation is in a very convenient location, with all shops, cafés, and restaurants nearby and within easy walking distance. All the amenities we needed were provided, which made our stay very comfortable and stress-free. "This hotel boasts a fantastic location along the Great Ocean Road, offering breathtaking views of Apollo Bay during the day. However, the heating system was insufficient—while the living room had heating, the bedroom lacked proper heating, leaving us feeling quite cold at night. Additionally, the bedroom curtains did not fully block out light, so bringing an eye mask is highly recommended for a good night's sleep. Despite these minor drawbacks, the scenic surroundings and convenient coastal access make it a decent stay for travelers exploring the area."

"We stayed in Apollo Bay area for Great Ocean Road Trip. It is a standard motel room, good size for couple of nights. Location was perfect, easy to spot + easy parking access too. There are supermarkets nearby, with different food options too. The room has kettle and microwave, but no cutlery apart from two teaspoons. A bit awkward moment when other customers were passing in front of the door but generally it was ok."

"We stayed one night at the Sandpiper Motel in Apollo Bay during peak season. On the positive side, the room was exceptionally clean, and the embroidered details on the bedding, pillow slips, and face towel were a lovely touch that added a sense of care and thoughtfulness to the decor. However, our stay was not without its issues. Room 5; Throughout the night, there was a persistent high-pitched noise whenever water was used in our block of rooms, which disrupted our sleep, not helpful if you are a light sleeper. This was particularly disappointing given the cost of over 500 NZD for one night. Additionally, while the self-check-in process was efficient, the lack of any staff presence left the motel feeling impersonal and made it impossible to seek assistance when needed. For example, there was no way to address the plumbing issue or request additional items like more face towels during our stay. While we appreciated the cleanliness and the attention to detail in the room design, these other factors made the experience less enjoyable than we had hoped. We hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future guests."

"The owner so lovely, we check in late and she prepare a drawing for us to find the room. The room is clean and we can feel it well maintain and the shampoo they provided smell good. Rumah itu berjarak sekitar 2-3 menit berkendara dari pusat kota Apollo Bay, dan tidak jauh jika berjalan kaki ke sana. Lingkungannya sangat tenang. Ada tiga kamar di lantai pertama rumah yang digunakan sebagai B&B, dan keluarga pemilik rumah tinggal di lantai dua. Pemilik rumah sangat baik dan berinisiatif memperkenalkan restoran-restoran di kota itu dan tempat-tempat wisata terdekat. Ruang tamu dan ruang makan bersama berukuran besar dan didekorasi penuh cita rasa. Dapur dilengkapi dengan kopi, susu, roti, sereal, buah dan makanan lain untuk sarapan para tamu. Kamar tidurnya memiliki kamar mandi, AC, selimut listrik, dan lampu pemanas di kamar mandi, sehingga terasa nyaman dan hangat untuk ditinggali.

This was one of the best yha we have stayed at. The room was bare but that is to be expected. The amenities, by contrast, were excellent: Two well appointed kichens with nice pans and plenty of space; A roof area and multiple living room areas; an herb garden and plenty of recycling areas; and the games and TV area looked brand new and not old and worn out . The kids enjoyed it and so did we. Highly recommended.

Wow, what a nice place! We are just sorry we booked only one night. Complimentary laundry - with a washing machine IN the apartment and a shared dryer! - was a bonus, and the rooms, living, room, kitchen, and deck were very spacious. The walk to Marengo Beach wasn’t too bad along the busy road but be careful with little ones. It’s not a swimming beach but still had a great time getting our ankles wet; you need a car to get to Apollo Bay.

Room was really spacious and kitchen came with basic seasoning namely salt and pepper. There were tons of cockatoos on the porch in the morning so it can be a bit noisy but most people would usually be up by then so it should be fine.

I had a wonderful stay! The views were stunning, and the peaceful surroundings were perfect for relaxing. Watching wild kangaroos and birds was such a unique experience. The space was clean, cozy, and had everything I needed. Highly recommend!
