However, after seeing netizens commenting that its kaiseki cuisine is its specialty, as foodies, we decided to book this hotel with the mentality of giving it a try, and the result! Really like it! Service: Regarding the service, it is really a detail that only traditional Japanese hotels have. After we checked in, a pair of waiters came to pick us up and take us to the hot spring (private hot spring only costs about 100 yuan) and take us there. The restaurant (you must try the food, it is exquisite and delicious), the most surprising thing is that my slippers (fur slippers) were scorched and wet by the rain when I entered the door. It is near the Ibusuki Sand Bathing Beach, less than 5 minutes away. The hotel is in the second row of the beach. It is not a first-line sea view, but you can still see the sea. The service was attentive, the food wasn't amazing but definitely acceptable.

The atmosphere in the lobby was wonderful. The hospitality of the inn staff made my trip to Kagoshima Prefecture even better.

My husband and I stayed for 1 night on a 2 night 3 day trip to Kyushu from Aichi Prefecture. First of all, the food was amazing! All dishes were delicious. I think the seasonal feel and colors were well thought out. I have stayed at many different inns, but I have rarely been as satisfied as this one. They served me zenzai (red bean paste) for a midnight snack, but I was full, and it was delicious to have it for dinner the next morning. The Nakai in charge was also very pleasant and I felt that this was a first-class ryokan. I decided to stay here based on the recommendation of a travel agent, and it was a great choice!

It's been a while since I stayed at a nostalgic inn. There are calligraphy by people from the past in the lobby and calligraphy by the master Oyama in the room, so I think it must be a historic inn. However, the room was just too nostalgic. The toilet had both a Western-style toilet and a Japanese-style toilet together, which was very strange. It's a hot place, and we were going to take a hot spring bath, so we were annoyed that the air conditioning didn't work very well. The large public bath was small and not too big, which was just right. The people inside were also generally nice.

Perhaps it was related to the coronavirus, but I felt that the food and service had deteriorated since the last time I used it. In particular, the food did not feel fresh.
