Agroturismo Atzaró

My wife and I spent 8 nights at Atzaro during August, we planned to stay 3 nights but found it such a special comfortable place we extended for just over a week. The luxury agrotourismo comes in two segments. There is the extensive garden, restaurant and spa area which is open to the public, and divided by the quiet country road is the private villas area which has an additional two swimming pools and numerous pergola and garden relaxing areas. We stayed in Villa Lavanda which also had its dedicated private pool and Jacquzi. We did find the public areas to be somewhat crowded with day visitors and actually were not impressed with the spa service, but the haven of our Villa “Qatier” provided sanctuary. One really feels at nature in the property with prolific birdlife which providing the morning chorus over breakfast. We did need to slightly manage the housekeeping elements of the service (evening turndown is only on request) but overall service is exceptional and the staff make every effort to meet any requests. It’s expensive in the peak season, but worth every penny for those seeking calm and quiet luxury.

We had dinner tonight at The Orange Tree and were welcomed with warmth and grace — even if we arrived a little early by Spanish standards 😉 The atmosphere is absolutely enchanting, nestled under twinkling lights and surrounded by lush gardens. We started with the “Somewhere in Indonesia” cocktail, which was nothing short of spectacular — complex, refreshing, and beautifully presented. Appetizers were honest and refined, each ingredient treated with care and finesse. For the mains, the pulpo was tender and full of flavor, while the linguine was perfectly al dente and rich without being heavy. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared and deeply satisfying. Highly recommended — this was one of those rare experiences where everything just clicks. We can’t wait to return!

Lovely hotel that could be way better if they got their act together. It’s 130am Sunday June 29 and I can’t sleep because the music is still going from the wedding that was going on. What kind of hotel thinks that is ok??? Especially at the rates they charge here. If the GM reads this then I’m in 206 and here till Friday. Location and landscaping are amazing but the doors in the rooms and doors to the rooms are not the quietest and some need to be slammed just so they stay closed. The internet is great at times and not working at other times. Eaten dinner in the restaurant twice so far and both times they messed up. First time my meal came out and everything was cold. Next night, my wife and i ordered the croaker fish and specifically said twice no cheese and no cream. Meal comes out and the mashed potato (which is not on the menu) has cheese in it. I ate mine as was too hungry but they had to redo my wife’s. That said breakfast has been good. First morning I asked for peanut butter. They did not have any but made sure it was available for the second morning. I visited the gym yesterday. It was almost as warm as outside (33). I tried using the remote to adjust the air conditioner but it did not work. I left immediately and told front desk they need to fix it because someone could workout in there and have a heart attack in this heat. There is a EV charger for those with hybrid or electric cars which was good because we have a hybrid. My wife and I have separate rooms so we can sleep better. She switched rooms after first night due to noise. 2nd room is better but the staff pay zero attention to the NO housekeeping sign. 3 people came through her garden even though NO sign was up. Plus she left some face cloths and eye mask in her first room. She only realised that tonight so no idea if she will get them back as housekeeping are not around till the morning. All the air conditioners in the rooms blow cold air to the beds which may be good for some people but not us. We hate it. They should think of other locations in the rooms. The staff are very nice but something clearly needs fixing.

We visited this hotel restaurant for lunch and returned for a spa day later the same week. It’s like walking into paradise. The gardens are stunning and the food was exceptional. Service was professional and attentive. Everything about our two experiences was more than 5*. Can’t wait to return next year.

Spent an incredible pool day with friends in this stunning agro turismo, absolutely beautiful and the service was amazing, very well looked after and had a lovely tour of all the different spaces thanks to all for making our day so special and especial thanks to Leanne for making us feel so welcome.

Our 2nd stay in this amazing slice of paradise! Last time was 5years ago pre Covid, and we had been counting down the days to go again! It really is Heaven on Earth; we have never stayed anywhere so beautiful before- being in the middle of the Island, amongst nature, is magical. We have stayed elsewhere on the island in the past, but Atzaro, for us, really is the place to be. The staff are amazing ( especially Johanna on reception who really went above and beyond for us - including being our driver/tour guide!). The whole estate is immaculate and breathtakingly beautiful. The food is INCREDIBLE - we loved that we could walk the gardens and see where our meals were cultivated! We loved the peace and quiet, and the fact we never had to fight for a sun bed! We had the Lavanda suite which was just absolutely dreamy. Really, we had no reason to leave our quarters as we had a plunge pool, a jacuzzi, an outdoor bath and multiple day beds to chill on…. It had been updated since the last time we stayed and I have to say ….. we did miss the pond and the frogs on the Lilly pads -(btw who complained about the noise of frogs to get that removed??!! ) But it was still fabulous. I just cannot express how much we are in love with this estate. I guess if you are a party person, it’s probably not for you….. but if you want to escape back to nature, in a super deluxe yet rustic setting.. then Atzaro is the absolute ultimate:The real Ibiza. We are already planning our return and just can’t wait ❤️
