Grand Palace - Couples Only 18 Years Plus

Wow was my first and last impression of this hotel. We had a quick and efficient check in at around 10pm, soft fabric bands applied to our arms - (no rigid plastic bands here) and us and our luggage was quickly escorted to room 1407. Room The room was one of the best we have had. Bed was huge, lots of storage space, flat screen TV, kettle, fridge (stocked with soft drinks) settee area, large bathroom with supplied soaps and shampoo. The best bit by far was the fact we had opted for a swim up room. We were positioned opposite the main bar so we had the benefit of light background music to accompany us on our sun loungers during the day and we could hear and see the acts of an evening. There were two Sun loungers and two deck chairs per room so you had a choice. We had the whole pool to ourselves 90% of the time. Wi-Fi is only free in selected main areas so we paid 50 Euro for 3 devices over the 7 days which allowed us to use in our room. Waiters - in the afternoon it was sometimes possible to attract the attention of a passing waiter from the pool bar and they would bring your drinks order over for you to wade across the pool to retrieve. Housekeeping We had the same housekeeper for the duration of our stay , a lovely man who could not do enough for you. The room was kept spotless, he would attend whilst you were out so as not to disturb you and whenever he saw you in the corridor he would always ask if everything was ok, did we need anything else? He also visited at the end of the day and took our pool towels away and replaced with fresh and his towel sculptures were the best we have come across. Food The food in the main buffet restaurant was good with plenty of choice. Breakfast - pastries, eggs, yogurts, meats, cereals, breads etc and smoked salmon Lunch - we only came in here for lunch on our last day, they have a sandwich station where they freshly prepare sandwiches for you , they very kindly wrapped these in foil for us to eat in our room later as we were leaving that day Dinner - soup, salads, sushi bar, pasta station, chips, pizzas, local dishes/stews, bread, fruit, ice cream cakes Beach Bar - we visited here daily for our lunch, food and service was great Hot dogs, burgers, salads, pizzas and a few pasta dishes are all available on this menu Sky Lounge - we eat here twice , you do need to book in advance at reception . It is situated on the rooftop and the views are amazing. Both staff and food here were exceptional. There is a menu to choose from which consists of salads, soups, Burgers, steaks, chicken, lamb etc and basically anything else that can go on the BBQ there is then a small selection of desserts should you still have room. There are a few other speciality restaurants that you can pre book - Italian, Mexican and Indochinese to mention a few. There is a book containing all the menus behind reception if you ask for it. Drink The fridge in the room had Cola, Sprite, Fanta and water in it and were always well stocke

Just got back from a fantastic week's stay in swim up room. Very few hotels that we would consider a longer stay, but this is one of them. From check in to check out we had the most relaxing amazing time. Room was huge and housekeeping were brilliant, everything kept spotless Food excellent, especially the Asian restaurant. Drink served directly to your sunbed on the beach, special shout out to Toto, went above and beyond with his smile and service. Would highly recommend this hotel for a chilled break with great service. Thanks to all staff, we will definitely be back

The Grand Palace Hotel is for adults only, the neighboring Grand Hotel is for families. Both hotels are all inclusive for dining and drinks. The Grand Palace has beautiful pool areas and a sand beach area, both areas are fully serviced, someone is always available to bring fresh drinks. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Many rooms offer a view over the pool area and the Red Sea. The main pool has a bar which you can swim to. At sunset, the lights around the pools come on and give an ambient of 1001 nights. The weather is pretty consistent in spring and summer and the coastal breeze offers comfort. The Grand Palace has a main restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as 5 separate theme restaurants for the evening. The personal are friendly and polite. Across the street is a shopping mall with a few restaurants and bars, some with live entertainment. Critics: Pool and beach areas have limited lounge chairs, which are mostly reserved early in the morning. This is a problem, which the hotel needs to address. We always find a chair, but you have to hurry before breakfast. This dampers the fun (and sleeping in). They offer a wide variety of food at the restaurants, but they like to overcook the meats. Bottle wines cost extra, unfortunately the wines are not stored correctly and often have a cork taste. Since the personal do not drink, this can be a problem. The hotel needs to learn about proper wine storage to solve this problem. Every Tuesday they have a beach party at the marina 5 until 02:00. Very loud. Many complaints to turn the music down after midnight. We come regularly to this hotel and really like the atmosphere and service, it’s a great place to relax and enjoy

After a bit of an issue on my arrival (the pool access suite was not available until the next day due to an issue with the previous people who were due to depart the suite I was booked into), I finally arrived at my suite and started to enjoy my long awaited holiday. Special thanks to the reception manager for the assistance of the room and he offered me the apologies for the issues I encountered on my arrival the night before. I also want to say thanks to Kahleed at the beach bar who was so attentive towards me.

The hotel is spotless. We had a junior suite. It was great. The biggest letdown for us was the food. Yes, there is a good selection, but alot was over cooked. I had fish several times over cooked and full of bones. Omelettes were seriously over cooked. Fried eggs done crispy round the edges cooked in loads of cooking oil. A real disappointment Fresh seafood....prawns mussels and squid over cooked. A good selection of salads and fresh bread. We ate at the speciality restaurants. Italian one was excellent. The others were nothing to write home about. The cocktails were terrible. Wine was awful yes there was a bar that sold cocktails using branded liquors. We did experience issues with service. I brought this to the attention of reception. Who passed it on to management. The issue was that we were a group of 3 women and we felt that we were overlooked by some waiters when were trying to get drinks . It made us feel uncomfortable. The issue was resolved. The waiters who work round the pool and on the beach. Work so hard and the guys were very friendly. A big thank you to Tito..who looked after us. Would we stay again..that would be a no.....

The most pleasant stay: The staff was helpful and friendly, premises beautiful, huge variety of options with food throughout the day. Pleasant Pool Area and access to own peach is a plus. Tidyness of the rooms was another plus. A tip, book a room with access to pool. High recommendation 😍
