Hostels Luoyang

Excellent hostel. I’ve visited more than 20 cities around China, and this hostel has the best leisure facilities: two large pool tables (the one on the left is really good), a big screen for movies and classic “Fred Quimby” Tom & Jerry, plus a gaming screen and handsets. They sell strong Trappist beers. Okay, the fridges with beers in should be a lot colder than they are, but at least for strong beer like Trappist beer, this doesn’t matter.  There is a 100-yuan deposit on arriving, but as promised this was repaid into the account it was paid from at midday (12:07). The woman boss has excellent local down-to-earth, great-quality food tips. They only speak a little English at the front desk, but they’re very quick and efficient at translating from Chinese to English on their phones. They have a rule I’ve never come across before after traveling very many countries: the washing machine can’t be used for underwear! But I remonstrated with them and they waived this rule. The beds have curtains for privacy. When I arrived, the room was too warm and stuffy, but they agreed to turn down the cooling system a little for the whole hostel to help.

It was such a great experience staying at Mowen Youth Hostel! The housekeeper was very enthusiastic. He not only patiently introduced the surrounding environment, but also chatted with the guests from time to time, giving people a feeling of being at home. The atmosphere in the hostel is very friendly. Backpackers from all over the country gather here. It is easy to make new friends and share travel stories together. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the public areas are warm and vibrant, and everyone can communicate and play games together in the lounge area in the evening. If you like a warm atmosphere and a journey to make friends, this is definitely an ideal place to stay!
