Excellent hostel. I’ve visited more than 20 cities around China, and this hostel has the best leisure facilities: two large pool tables (the one on the left is really good), a big screen for movies and classic “Fred Quimby” Tom & Jerry, plus a gaming screen and handsets. They sell strong Trappist beers. Okay, the fridges with beers in should be a lot colder than they are, but at least for strong beer like Trappist beer, this doesn’t matter.  There is a 100-yuan deposit on arriving, but as promised this was repaid into the account it was paid from at midday (12:07). The woman boss has excellent local down-to-earth, great-quality food tips. They only speak a little English at the front desk, but they’re very quick and efficient at translating from Chinese to English on their phones. They have a rule I’ve never come across before after traveling very many countries: the washing machine can’t be used for underwear! But I remonstrated with them and they waived this rule. The beds have curtains for privacy. When I arrived, the room was too warm and stuffy, but they agreed to turn down the cooling system a little for the whole hostel to help.

The most memorable and comfortable youth hostel I stayed in when I was out! When I went to Luoyang, my group friend recommended Mowen and said it was very good. I will definitely not regret it. I looked at the reviews and they were all very good. I booked the room decisively. Sometimes the rooms are in short supply, so I want to book in advance. The room is very clean and soundproof. The location is also easy to find. There is a snack street not far away. You can ride a shared electric car or bus to other attractions. Hot water, shampoo and shower gel are all available. If you need anything, you can tell the uncle and he will solve it at any time. Lao Meng is a lovely uncle, super enthusiastic, and made me feel at home in Mowen. We will play a lot of interesting games together at night, which is very happy. Moreover, Mowen is open to foreign guests. I met handsome guys from Toronto and South Korea, hahahaha, which is really awesome. The second day I stayed was my birthday. Lao Meng rushed over to celebrate my birthday before he finished his work at home. We sang birthday songs, had dinner together, and set off fireworks together. I was really touched. There are also friends who are very good. They take pictures and celebrate together. This is the most unforgettable birthday I have ever had. Thank you for meeting Mowen. I love Mowen
