The location was perfect for the couple of days I needed to be reasonably near the University of Hawaii. However, I was immediately turned off by the addition of a "resort fee" for so-called amenities that are of no use to me. Also, there was no maid service for the two nights I was there. I understand that Waikiki is expensive, but I would rate this a 2 Star hotel at best charging 4 Star prices.
To cap off a negative stay, on my second night I went to 7-11 to pick up a snack. When I returned, I walked straight to the elevators and went back to my room. The next morning I received a "warning" letter claiming i ignored a "guard" at the front desk and didn't show my room key. I am hearing impaired and did not notice any guard asking me to show anything. it was late -- maybe just before midnight -- and I was just focused on getting back to room walking through a pretty dark front desk area.
Finally, for check-out, there wasn't anyone at the front desk to check-out at around 6:30am. I was prepaid so I just left. It seems that this "hotel" is more of of condominium dominated by Air BnB customers. As such, the services typical of a hotel are lacking -- certainly nothing about this location justifies charging a "resort" fee.
