The kitchen has been upgraded with modern new appliances for your convenience, including a full-size refrigerator and roomy cabinets for your groceries, a stainless-steel flat top stove and oven, and a dishwasher to make cleaning up a breeze. The dining area seats 4 guests.The lounge is equipped with an HDTV with a Roku entertainment system, allowing full access to your favorite streaming services. There are a couple of smaller parks within a 5 minute walk. It’s located in the heart of Downtown Portland and surrounded by charming shops, lush green spaces, wide sidewalks, and shady picnic areas. Guests will need to climb about 15 stairs to get to the second floor of the building, and then another 25 stairs once you enter the unit to get up to the living space.There are two window AC units installed in the summer months - one in the living room and one in the queen bedroom. We also have portable fans available for guest use.Guests will have access to all rooms and amenities. You’ll receive a code for the smart lock for secure and easy entrance into the home. The condo includes one free parking pass at the Gateway Garage located directly behind the building. You'll need to retrieve the access card from the condo first. $50 fee if the parking pass is not returned upon guest checkout. Amazon packages or others can be delivered to the lobby for your convenience.OTHER THINGS TO NOTE- We have an additional TopHost Vacation Rentals Guest Agreement separate from the booking platform. Plus, Veranda Noodle Bar, Veranda Thai, Otherside Diner, Beal's Ice Cream and the new Smoothy Bar (Grateful Cup) are about 5-7 minute walk as well. - Easy access to 295 (15-20 seconds), Short drive to all the shopping in Falmouth and a 5 minute ride/taxi/Uber to downtown Portland (Uber usually costs $6).I'm happy to provide advice to guests. As a native of the area and easily accessible (as I live in the condo unit above), I can help recommend local restaurants, bars, nature, beaches, parks, music venues, breweries, etc. around Portland. A cork board packed with brochures and a map of the area with points of interest is in he kitchen.Beauty and convenience: Martin's Point is unique because it's smack in the middle of both natural beauty and all the amenities that Portland has to offer. We have a few shops and good restaurants within walking distance and parking is free and easy to find, unlike on the Peninsula. Walk over the Presumscot Bridge into Falmouth Foreside, take a 5 minute Uber to the Old Port or hop on 295 and be at Thompson's Point in 7 minutes.We have a bus stop right outside the door, an Uber is usually here within minutes, 295 on ramp is a couple blocks away and there are multiple destinations for eating, drinks and leisure within walking distance.We are located on Route 1. Although not a terribly busy section (compared to most of Southern Maine) please expect some traffic during peak hours.
