I try to support local businesses wherever I can, but this motel made me question that decision. This used to be a mom and pop place that was run very well, but this new owner seems to not care about her customers. (Look at the ratings from this year- presumably when she took over). Not clean & comfortable; bugs in rooms, no towels, STRONG odor from fridges, grimy floors, etc. Conditions did not meet description by owner. Owner refused refund, despite the 5minute gap between paying, looking at rooms, and returning to her. She pulled out a handmade "no refund" sign which was not visible when we payed, she never went over this policy with us before paying. She threatened to call the cops on us when we took a photo of the office, then yelled at us when we agreed to talk to them. Police were called because she was so obstinate, rude, and threatening. Police officer told us in the short span of the past 8months he's been working as a police officer, he can't count the number of times he's been called to this motel because this lady has refused refunds to customers after they saw the poor quality of the rooms. Also- it seems like there are some guests who are permanent residents. After we called the police she walked over to another customer who was sitting outside their room to complain that we wanted a refund because the room was not to standard. (Very unprofessional)
