The Residence Hikkaduwa

This was one of the best stays in Sri Lanka. First and foremost, the owner was very communicative and spoke English excellently. Upon arrival, we noticed that the room was extremely spacious, clean, and lacked nothing. The breakfast was delicious and served in two options: continental and Sri Lankan, with a lovely view from the rooftop. Additionally, the property had a pool and lounge chairs, where you could relax after a long day.Despite the short duration of our stay, the presence of flowers everywhere added a charming atmosphere. Thank you once again, I highly recommend this place! 🙂

Immaculate property with only 2 units within a few minutes walk to the beach and shops. This is a busy area but at The Residence you are in a quiet tropical paradise. There is a private pool excellent for relaxing in. The unit was exceptional, large,clean and every little detail thought of. The staff were friendly and made delicious breakfasts of our choice, either western or Sri Lankan. Chamara solved all our problems in getting to the airport.As well he arranged a cooking class and tour around Hikkaduwa. I highly recommend this property and was by far the best place we stayed in while visiting Sri Lanka.

Lovely hotel situated close to the beach and Main Street. Large rooms and lovely shower. Easy walk to shops and restaurants. Attentive and friendly staff who made us feel welcome and couldn’t do enough for us. Lovely pool and sun loungers. Clean and tidy. Great value for money would highly recommend.

Chamara is the best host you can imagine, we stayed at his place for 2 nights and that was the best hotel we’ve had in a long time. He guided us trough Hikkaduwa, he ended our trip in Sri Lanka with a wonderful end. We highly recommend staying here!

On the last part of our trip, we decided to stay in Hikkaduwa for some well-deserved rest after touring around this magnificent island. The driver from The Residence picked us up from our hotel in Colombo and delivered us safely to Hikkaduwa. Wow what a place! There are only 2 rooms at The Residence, both are decorated really well. The bathroom has a separate toilet one side and shower the other. The rainfall shower is really good! The room also has a large double bed, air conditioning, TV with satellite channels, well stocked fridge and hairdryer. We were on the upper floor and had a great view of the pool.... We had breakfast every morning at 9am and we ate at the table outside our room. The breakfasts are also really good! The pool and 4 sunbeds just make it extra special as privacy is guaranteed along with the personal service! Finally, the location. The Residence is located around 200mts from the main ***** and only 300mts or so from the bus station and train station. Ideal if you are travelling around! Chamara and his staff work extremely hard and you can tell. This place is a gem. Will we back? I'm certain of it!

Highly recommended. Just had wonderful stay at the Residence. The property is in a great location. It is immaculately presented and offers spacious accommodation with a lovely private garden and pool. Delicious breakfast options are served on the upper terrace. The host Chamari is delightful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Residence with Chamara and his family. They were friendly, helpful and easy to contact when necessary. The apartment was very clean and spacious with an efficient air conditioner. The Residence has a nice outdoor area with a pool and lounge chairs. Our breakfast was served on the balcony and was fresh and delicious.

Lovely stay. Wished we had stayed longer From our arrival we were welcomed by Chamara and his family. The hotel is situated a small walk from the main road, at the back of his private residence. The beach is within a short walk down the road. There are a few nice bars towards the railway line and a nice breakfast/lunch outlet on the corner. Beautiful apartments and work was continuing to improve them although we don’t think this was needed. Chamara was contactable throughout our stay and was available to answer any questions we had. It was my birthday whilst we stayed and everyone wished happy birthday, and given flowers and a small cake. Perfect little touches! On our last morning Chamara also took us to our next destination. I believe he also does tours of booked in advance. There are only 2 rooms so get booking quickly! We will definitely Recommend to others and book again if we return! Thank you 😊

The Residence Hikkaduwa jest idealnym miejscem na urlop. Położone blisko głównej drogi i plaży, a jednak zupełnie ciche i spokojne. Pokoje są bardzo przestronne i pięknie zaaranżowane, aż chce się w nich spędzać czas, mimo, że na zewnątrz również czeka wiele atrakcji m.in. basen i leżaki oraz te organizowane przez gospodarzy takie jak np. yoga z instruktorem. Świetnie przygotowane śniadania tradycyjne dla tego kraju, napełniają energią do działania. Gospodarze zawsze służą dobrą radą, gdzie pójść na obiad lub jak gdzieś dojechać. Ponadto widać, że w tym miejscu dba się o środowisko i minimalizuje wytwarzanie odpadów. Jest to z całą pewnością najlepsze miejsce na wypoczynek w Hikkaduwa.
