Comfortable, budget-friendly stay near the beach. Great value for money. Tamara Motels is a family-run establishment located on Galle Road in Hikkaduwa, just a short walk from the beach. The location is convenient—close to shops and restaurants. I loved the motel's design. I was surprised when the owner told me he built it himself! The room was clean and spacious, with modern amenities, a huge balcony, a nice bathroom, and a terrace overlooking the railway and the jungle. I slept really peacefully there. Even the sound of the train passing by was soothing. The family running the inn is incredibly kind and helpful.

The staff were really sweet and accommodating!

По прилёту на Шри-Ланку остановились в этом отеле. Заезд был поздний в 02:30 т.к. долго добирались с Коломбо. Заселили в столь позднее время без проблем. Очень добродушный персонал. В номере чисто. Завтраки вкусные. Нам все понравилось, однозначно вернёмся еще

Tamara Hotel is really beautiful place to stay and rest. The owners were very hospitable and friendly! The hotel was short walk from the best beach of Hikkaduwa. The train line passes right past but this did not bother us at all. The breakfasts are filling and tasty and the whole place is so clean and tidy. We like it very much!

The place is more then great. We took the suit for 5000 rupi. The room is huge to large balconis, hot water, clean. And a special bathroom. The place is lovated next to mini markets and restaurants. And just across the Street from the ocean and turtle area. Excellent choice. P. S next to train railways so at 4 am we had a wake up call, but went back to sleep(:

This was our first hotel on our first trip to Sri Lanka, and it left a very warm impression. A modest small room for two, a tiny window behind bars and strange bed linen were not its strong point, but we found this place very atmospheric and cozy, with delicious breakfasts and everything we need, close to the beach, but at the same time surrounded by the jungle. On the third floor there is a large veranda and lines for drying clothes, on the first floor there is a shower to rinse off after the sea. The room had a safe, refrigerator, hairdryer and kettle. When it rained, the hosts thoughtfully provided us with umbrellas. A five minute walk away is a beautiful beach with turtles. Shops, cafes and restaurants are also nearby, especially Red Lobster. One of the inconveniences may be the railway running under the walls of the hotel, and the walls shake at night and several times a day from passing trains. But for a few days it seemed even romantic to us. We would return to this hotel again.

The room given to me was very spacious, clean, well equipped and specially the toilet plus shower facility was commendable as it gives you an extra natural impression. Nipun, his wife, his mother and the girl who helps with the day-to-day work were all very attentive to take care of my requests and always available instantly. Easy access to beautiful beach, shops and restaurants. Even if one of the previous clients mentioned about the train track closeness and the noise, I found it's quiet and had a very good peaceful sleep during my stay of three nights. Had I had more days available, I'd have stayed more. I had the pleasure of having their home cooked tasty meals which was very nice and cheaper. They recommended me a very good reputed JLH Restaurant for lobsters and that was remarkable. All and all, I had a very pleasurable stay at Tamara Motels. Would not stay any other place when I'm in Hikkaduwa again.

We spent night here and it was perfect. Very clean rooms, nice area with shadows - protection from the sun. Morning breakfast was original - toast with omelet inside. Staff helped us a lot with sim card, money change and other trip advice. Thank you

The Tamara Motels,we just remember this name for the best place in Hikkaduwa. Before we went their we heard and read lots of comments and reviews about this motel. When we come over there we realized yes everything is true. We have stay for a three days for at this hotel. Stepping through the garden, i was immediately struck by the beautiful and friendly reception area. Light, airy and very spacious...very welcoming atmosphere. The staff throughout the hotel were very professional, friendly and extremely helpful. This is a family business doing by mother son his wife and cute little baby. They always greeting and smiling to us. They are very helpful and give us the best option for everything we need. The breakfasts were amazing. It is not like other breakfast we had. Bread toast and omlet in it. Its very delicious.The location of the hotel is great. The room was very spacious and well equipped with all essentials. I have no hesitation in recommending this place to the tourists who want to go to Hikkaduwa. Will be back to this place soon..!!!

Отличный бюджетный вариант! всё есть для отдыха. в моем номере была удобная кровать, кондиционер, холодильник, сейф, ванная комната. При необходимости всегда делали уборку, в номере всё аккуратно и чисто. очень близко до пляжа, до кафе и магазинов. отличный wi-fi, могла без проблем работать. иногда отключали свет, но максимум минут на 15-20, это не было проблемой. Замечательные хозяева, очень дружелюбные, вежливые, всегда готовы помочь, если что-то нужно!Минус, что за забором ходит поезд, он безумно громкий. Если вы чутко спите, этот вариант не для вас. Я сплю крепко, поэтому мне это не мешало.

Отличный бюджетный гостевой дом в центре Хиккадувы. Хозяева - просто сказка, очень вежливые, решающие любые вопросы люди! Номера просторные, все есть: холодильник, кондей. Только нет - пляжного полотенца, маленького полотенца для лица, шампунь и гель - но это гостевой дом. Завтрак стандартный - яичница или омлет, фруктики, чай или кофе, тосты (фото приложил). Рядом 2 пляжа - налево - черепаший, спокойный и справа хиккадува (иногда волны). Черепаший погрязнее, лучше на хиккадуву ходить). Советы по эксурсионке- не берите 2 дня, 1 дня хватит в эллу, в галле своим ходом на полдня, ездил в Ялу на сафари - не рекомендую, даже в ранннее утро животных особо нет. Недалеко налево магазин, направо минут 7-10 рынок с фруктами и рыбный. Шри-Ланка прекрасна.

Отдыхали с подругой в начале марта 2025г. Очень понравилось место положение гостевого дома. Рядом плаж черепах. В шаговой доступности рыбный и фруктовый рынок. Рядом кафе Ред лобстер. Там очень вкусно готовят. Хозяева мотеля очень доброжелательны. В номере есть холодильник, сейф, вентилятор, кондиционер, чайник. Хороший сан. узел. Всегда есть горячая вода (водонагреватель). В номере и на территории всегда чисто. Завтраки всегда одинаковые: омлет, 2 тоста, масло , джем, чай или кофе и немного фруктов. Недостаток, что поезд рядом проходит. Но нас это не напрягало. На пляже есть черепашья ферма. Увидели как выпускают в океан вылупившихся маленьких черепашат. Советую к проживанию Tamara Motel.

Выбрали этот отель второй раз, т.к. локация и хозяева очень пришлись по душе в предыдущую поездку. Забронировали большой номер на верхнем этаже - номер понравился, он имеет 2 выхода - с видом на город и море с одной стороны и на железную дорогу и джунгли с другой, с обеих сторон большие веранды, соседей нет. Номер просторный, комфортный, в нем есть все необходимое, все достаточно свежее, отличная большая ванная с тропическим душем. Вкусные завтраки, заботливо приготовленные хозяевами. Небольшая, но уютная территория. Отель находится близко к черепашьему пляжу, тут тихо, спокойно, за исключением поезда, периодически гремящего в нескольких метрах от вас, так, что стены ходят ходуном. Это единственный минус, и если у вас чуткий сон, лучше обратить на это внимание. В остальном все очень понравилось, большое спасибо хозяевам за гостеприимство, заботу и теплое отношение!
