Check in was at 4.00pm and no-one was there. Someone arrive ed 20 minutes later and I checked in. This person then left and I was on my own in the hotel. At about 6.00pm a couple arrived to check in and then at least I wasn't on my own! It seems that the owners disappear when not required to check people in. The restaurant was closed but the hotel recommended a restaurant about 15 minutes walk away. The room was basic, it was obviously originally a self catering venue as a kitchen was in my room. The shower and bathroom were fine, the beds were two singles and were not equipped for someone 185cm tall. I had to use one of the towels to wrap over the wooden frame to prevent my legs rubbing on the wood. For an overnight stop it was fine but I wouldn't want to stay any longer.
