While visiting the city of Heidelberg we decided to eat a bite in a restaurant in the Old Town and our choice fell on this interesting place. This place offers tables both indoors and on the street. The food offered is typical of the German cuisine. I ordered various kinds of sausages with sauerkraut and of course lots of potatoes. The beer was good and the prices were reasonable. Before leaving the owner reminded us that they have a limited number of rooms to allow us to stay with them and enjoy the city for a longer visit.

What a lovely little hotel in a great spot. I was on the third floor so lots of stairs. The room was simple modern looking. You did have to check in and have breakfast at another hotel but it is prolly no more than 500 feet away. For breakfast it was nice bread, cold cuts of meat, some granola and yogurt. Along with apple juice and coffee. The best salami I have ever had in my life. And the best part was it was included with the room. The staff was very friendly. I arrived pretty early in the morning and they let me stash my bag until I checked in. You walk out in the heart of old Heidelberg, the location is absolutely perfect.

Only 3 minutes from the old bridge and Heiliggeistkirche. The checkin reception is together with hotel vier Jahreszeiten which is around the corner, facing the river, Very friendly staffs. I could early check-in to the room (at noon). Baggage deposit after check-out worked also fine. The room was clean and new renovated. The breakfast was good. The staff gave eggs and hot water, as requested.

Leider eine teure, laute und herbe Enttäuschung. Frühstück lausig, null Flexibilität, schnelle Abfertigung an der Rezeption, schlechte Betten mit einzelnen Matratzen, schmutzige Laken im Flur, laute Restaurantgäste im Innenhof. Nie wieder.

Das Hotel ist recht diskret und MSN hat seine Ruhe. Die Mitarbeiter der Rezeption sind sehr nett. Das Hotelzimmer ist völlig ausreichend für 2 Personen und wirkt sauber. Punktabzug gibt es für die Tauben, welche in großer Zahl auf dem Balkon/Taubenschlag sind. In der Nacht zum Glück leise, morgens aber recht laut und sie riechen nach Hühnerstall. Tv ohne Empfang.

Die Lage ist sehr zentral, leider dadurch nachts auch sehr laut. Zimmer sind okay, das Frühstück allerdings mehr als bescheiden - sehr kleines Angebot. Die Bedienung dabei leider sehr unfreundlich, wird wurden Punkt 10 Uhr in unangenehmer und unangemessener Art aufgefordert, sofort den Frühstücks- Raum zu verlassen - so noch nie erlebt.

Zimmer sehr klein, teilweise nicht sehr sauber, keine Parkmöglichkeiten im Bereich des Hotels vorhanden. Man muss ein auswärtiges Parkhaus nutzen. Alles in allem ist das Hotel wie Heidelberg selbst. Charmant aber auch ein bischen " schmuddelig " Das Frühstück, serviert im 4 Jahreszeiten um die Ecke, war aber unterirdisch.
