I had an extremely disappointing experience at this resort, and I feel it’s important to share my story to help others avoid similar pitfalls. Before we arrived, we contacted the property regarding our flight arrangements. They promised to provide details 5-7 days prior to our arrival, but when the time came, we received no updates. We attempted to reach out again about our domestic flight tickets, but our inquiries went unanswered. Upon arriving at Male airport, we visited the hotel office a day before our scheduled transfer to the resort, only to discover that our names were not on the list. After some back-and-forth, a representative assured us we would receive information that evening, leaving us completely in the dark until the last moment. It was incredibly frustrating to be so far from home without any clear communication. To add to our troubles, a few days into our stay, we received a call from reception demanding additional taxes that were never mentioned in our booking or invoice. They claimed it was a new government tax for tourists, totaling an unexpected $250! It’s hard to fathom that they couldn’t inform us of this charge ahead of time, especially since they had a month to do so. Imagine a family of four or five being caught off guard by such a fee! We requested to speak with the manager for clarification, but he was unavailable. Instead, a junior staff member was left to address our concerns. How can a resort operate effectively without its management being accessible? Agoda even attempted to intervene regarding this issue, but they were ignored for two full months. As for the food, it deserves a mention. It was the worst dining experience we've ever had! They recycled fish and cheese balls for days until they became inedible, and the food preparation was subpar and monotonous. The instant mashed potatoes and flavorless ice cream were particularly disappointing—truly the worst ice cream I’ve ever tasted. The desserts were mediocre at best. My dogs eat better! The bread was stale, at least 4-5 days old, and there was no toaster available. When I inquired about a toaster, I was told it was broken. We were literally left hungry. The Accommodation: Regarding the accommodation, the water pressure in the bathroom was unreliable, and while the shower appeared appealing, it posed a significant slipping hazard. I unfortunately lost my footing and sustained a serious cut on my finger. The beach adjacent to the bungalows frequently experienced strong winds and large waves, rendering swimming nearly unfeasible. To make matters worse, we discovered a syringe hidden in the sand. I genuinely question the circumstances surrounding this location. The island is quite large, which means that guests with limited mobility may require a buggy to reach the restaurant or bar. However, the availability of buggies is not guaranteed, and guests may experience a wait time of 15 to 20 minutes. In summary, I would not contemplate revisiting this island,
