The overall environment of the room is very good. It is a single-family house. It feels very comfortable to live in a home. The best thing is the location. It is right on Beishan Street. There are museums nearby and many listed delicacies. You can see the West Lake and the Broken Bridge when you go out. There are also many Internet celebrities taking photos in the yard. The housekeeper is also very nice and helps to arrange it properly.
The only drawback is the noise. Because the old-style building has poor sound insulation, it makes a lot of noise when going up and down the stairs. I originally wanted to take a break on the weekend, but I happened to live on the second floor. There was a banquet on the first floor at night. The guests' clinking of glasses made us who were talking in the room unable to hear each other's voices. It ended at almost 9 o'clock in the evening. On the third floor, I ran back and forth and waited for them to sleep. I finally fell asleep upstairs. There was construction near the building. I thought the workers stopped at 2 o'clock, but the big bulldozer was still working at 3 o'clock in the morning. I really couldn't figure it out. Lying in bed, my mind was full of Chinese speed. For your reference, it is best to confirm in advance. It may also be a phased construction.

Hygiene: Really average. You can see hair on the bed and even yellow stains on the sheets.
Environment: Right next to the Broken Bridge. There is nothing to spray at the location (as shown in the picture). I didn't expect that the stairs of the B&B are also a great photo spot. Many people are taking photos.
Service: Very good. The toilet was flooded and the owner was very responsible in repairing it. He also kept apologizing. Breakfast was always delivered to the door.

Overall stay was good. The cleaning ladies were friendly and overall cleanliness of the hotel was good. There are no lifts in the hotel so we had to carry our luggages up the flight of stairs on our own - not the most convenient in this aspect if you are travelling with elderly or young kids. Location was good - walking distance to West Lake and there's a whole stretch of eateries and a convenience store just beside the hotel.

We only stayed here for one night but there were many aspects that really wowed us about this hotel. The location of this hotel to the west lake is only a 20 min walk or a brief 10 min bike ride. Definitely go by bike, there’s good bike lanes all along the way. The breakfast at this hotel really blew us away. A ton of freshly made (literally in front of you) and high quality food with a lot of choices. They recently opened a bar and they had live music at night. We got a complementary drink because it’s new and trying to attract new customers and it was tasty.

My two most important conditions before booking a hotel are it has to be value for money and should also provide a cozy stay. I originally planned to stay only for 1 night but i was somehow convinced to stay yet another night. Breakfast is optional with a fee included of course and from my food standards, it was ok but i give it a plus for the quiet environment. If you share the same conditions as me, then this hotel is the right destination for peaceful nights and long awaited visits in China!

The place was spotless and cozy — both the room and the shared areas — but still, it was hands down the worst night of my life before a 10-hour flight.
The staff were super friendly, but out of five people at reception, only one English-speaking person. I get that it’s 2025 and we’ve all got smartphones and google-translator, but still — for a hostel full of first-time tourists? Kinda weird.
1. It was 27°C in the room. I asked for help with the AC — they said someone would come check it. No one did.
2. I tried sleeping in that microwave with a splitting headache. Gave up around midnight and tried opening the windows — turns out they don’t open. So I opened the balcony door instead, which instantly killed any sense of safety. From that point on, it was just anxious half-sleep.
3. Also, let’s be real — it’s a hostel with a shared bathroom. The listing said “family room with terrace,” and that part about the shared bathroom wasn’t obvious. I was in a rush when I booked, so yeah — maybe my fault. But still, just slap that info on the front page of the listing and save everyone the frustration.
4. There’s no fridge or kettle in the room. Sure, there’s a shared kitchen, but I’m not exactly thrilled about leaving chilled meds or skincare in a public fridge. My daughter’s soda was boiled by morning — totally gross. We left everything behind and just checked out. No hard feelings, pls🤷🏼♀️
5. Oh, and to charge a dead phone without a Chinese adapter? You need to log into WeChat and pay to use the power bank. If your phone’s at 0% — good luck.
6. Same with Wi-Fi: to get the password, you have to scan a QR code and go to a website. Without internet😂
So yeah — bingo. Heads up to any fellow travelers from Europe🙏🏻

We spend a brilliant weekend in Hangzhou at the Zhejiang Hotel. Excellent location to metro line 1 as well as Wulin night market, and great room service. West lake was beautiful in the evening sun, despite the traffic control areas. Also the old hotel heating system gave us some discomfort as this very hot weekend left our room at 28c with only a weak fan. The National Tea Museum is a must-see, relaxing and well curated. Overall, very satisfied.

GGuest UserSpecial thanks to the housekeeper Chen Yingjing for her suggestions on upgrading the room on the first day of stay. After looking at several rooms, the layout of the Ou Bo Lake View Room suits my taste the most. If you have the opportunity, it is worth everyone to stay and experience this hotel. 20 years have passed, and the design details are still amazing. The person is gone, but the work lives on.

Excellent
AAnna in ChinaIt was my first trip to Hangzhou. I wanted to celebrate my husband’s birthday here and it was totally impromptu. What I was looking for: 1) a closer location to the West lake - to walk there, not to ride; 2) a balcony or courtyard; 3) and/or at least a beautiful view and surroundings; 4) as we love tea and really interested in Chinese tea culture, some tea plantation nearby could be a plus! Not many hotels seemed to meet my requirements and those which fit were way beyond our budget.
Xunzhenshe hotel looked very pretty but their description was not very clear. Anyway, considering that I was booking our room just a day (!) before our arrival on Friday night, Xunzhenshe seemed to be my only choice with just two rooms left. To be honest, I didn’t expect much when we arrived. However, from the beginning the service was outstanding with a personal approach. At the hotel they greeted us as we were VIPs. Celia, an English-speaking lady, who contacted me after my booking, was extremely helpful. She gave us few recommendations about Hangzhou and the area nearby. She showed us the tea plantation just next to the hotel and a room where farmers were drying tea leaves - it was quite short but interesting introduction to the hotel environment.
The hotel itself is owned and managed by a former architect. The building was built based on construction principles of the Song dynasty. As I understand, all ground floor units have their own courtyard. There is a parking lot, a tea room and a restaurant at the hotel. We were given a non-smoking one-bedroom apartment in a quieter part of the hotel and could enjoy our morning tea in our small but elegant courtyard. The apartment was clean with all necessary amenities. There was a kitchen and a dining room with a huge table (we didn’t use this room though). The breakfast buffet was included in the rate, however they offered mostly Chinese food (no problem for us as we love it). Our dinner and breakfast food were delicious!
Also, we so much appreciate totally unexpected birthday presents to my husband. Upon arrival he found a little gift with a touching handwritten birthday message and then birthday noodles were served at the restaurant. So, it was very unique and memorable celebration!
After all, I was really happy with my hotel’s choice.
To conclude what we loved the most about this hotel:
1. Attentive and caring service
2. Nature and beautiful surroundings
3. Very good location: just next to the West lake park and bridges. Walkable distance to the famous night show Impression and Su Causeway. Not far away to Leifeng pagoda and Longjing and Meijiawu villages.
4. Good Chinese restaurant with a terrace just next to the tea plantation
5. Amazing tea

First of all, the location is excellent and the transportation is convenient. There is a bus stop outside and the subway station is only a hundred meters away! Secondly, every staff member of the hotel is extremely professional and treats customers warmly and friendly! The hotel's hardware facilities are first-class and intelligent, and the fitness equipment is brand new to meet the needs of exercise! Finally, please look at the pictures. The breakfast is rich in variety, and Chinese and Western food can satisfy your various taste buds! It is worth praising that the pictures on the Internet are exactly the same as the actual ones, without false propaganda! Recommended to everyone!

Just by lifting your eyes, you are greeted with the picturesque beauty of West Lake, with its stunning scenery of shimmering water and lush mountains. In the morning, as you open the window, the fresh air, infused with the lake’s vibrant essence, rushes in, bringing a sense of tranquility and delight. The room is well-equipped with complete facilities. Special thanks to our butler, Xue Chen, for proactively assisting us in handling our lost items. YYYFUNThe hotel location is quite convenient, it's just a 6-10mins walking distance to the nearest metro station (subway), 16-20mins driving distance to Xiaoshan airport.
There are restaurants, convenience stores, supermarket, and pharmacies within walking distance.
It contains complete facilities with a restaurant for breakfast, a self-serve laundry, and a fitness room.
The double room is spacious, clean and hygienic, with all the necessary items in the room like a hair dryer, a kettle, a fridge, cups, free mineral waters and coffee.
The staffs at the front desk are nice, friendly and helpful, very good in service.
The only problem is that on the last day of my stay, there was a sudden problem with the light in the room. It would automatically go out every 10 mins+, and it would go out completely until the room is completely dark. I would either turn it on manually or call Xiaodu to turn on the light. But this is not only inconvenient but also scary, especially when I'm in the bathroom and suddenly the light went totally off. At first I thought I would check out in a few hours and just bear with it, but then it was too terrifying so I asked the front desk to change my room. Later on, I was told that the entire 9th and 10th floors had this problem and the rooms on these 2 floors were not rented out. (Does that mean I was the only one ”communicating” with the light in the room at the end of the corridor on the 10th floor alone that night? Why didn't you tell me earlier!) Hopefully, it's fixed before renting out the room again, and please make some arrangements for your customers if the similar issue happens again, especially I reported the issue in the afternoon and your engineer came and inspected the problem, you should have known that the issue couldn't be fixed, you can't imagine how scary it was. Anyway, the staffs were still acting quite fast when I finally changed my mind to request to change the room, a guy came and moved my luggage to the 8th floor as per my request.

美中不足的是，在我入住的最后一天，房间的灯突然出了问题，每隔10几分钟就会自动熄灭一次，而且是整个熄灭导致房内漆黑一片。我要嘛就手动打开，或是呼叫小度把灯打开。但这样不仅不方便而且也很可怕，尤其是我在卫生间的时候，突然之间就伸手不见五指。我原本想说还有几个小时就退房就忍一忍，但后来实在可怕还是让前台给我换了房。后来才知道原来9楼10楼都有这样的问题，已经不外租了。（那就是说当晚只有我一个人在10楼？还是在走廊尾部的房间里独自跟灯光在“沟通”？怎么不提早说啊！真把我吓得够呛……）希望问题解决之后才把房间租出去。而且以后如果有类似的事情发生请立即为你们的房客作出安排，尤其我下午已经提出问题，工程师师傅下午就来修理你们就已经知道修不好的情况下，你们无法想象当时的情况有多可怕。不过还好当我改变主意要换房的时候，前台还是行动蛮快的，也按我的要求帮我把行李搬运下8楼。

Need to wait very long for hot water at the basin tap in the morning. Bathing area water pressure is not strong enough. Staff at concierge makes us pay more for adjacent rooms and did not offer free upgrade unlike other hotels. Only good point about the hotel is we can request for free items such as mosquito repellent and eye masks, and they are delivered by the robot. If the items are not available, there is no follow up from the staff. There is smart toilet bowl. Location is near railway station but not near train station.

IIntrepid Traveller8Lovely hotel in the middle of West Creek/ Xixi National Wetlands Park in Hangzhou. The hotel and service offerings are excellent, located in a very secluded spot away from the hustle and bustle, great for relaxation and enjoying the serene and tranquil surroundings. There is a small lake in the middle of the hotel, which I understand is owned and managed by the hotel. The views are wonderful and better than going to the famed West Lake (way too touristy and crowded). I think this hotel has a lot going for it, even though it’s not a known brand.
I would say some things for improvement are as follows:
Must, must open a spa. AmanFayun, Banyan Tree, Anh Luh and Four Seasons all have spa’s and they’re at roughly the same price point. This wasn’t a deal breaker for me, but for some people this would put them off from booking here.
Gym. This place needs an on-site gym for obsessed exercise freaks like me (and other health obsessives that want to go to an all-inclusive resort). Also, with the yummy high calorie food offerings in the restaurant, I would like to work those calories off and not worry about getting home fatter than when I left!
Restaurant – Excellent service from the wonderful manager, who I forgot to ask her name and all her staff. Very good manners from all the staff, very quiet voices, barely can hear them speak amongst themselves. However there needs to be more of an international offering for people that visit from outside China (US/ Europe, India/ South East Asia/ Gulf countries, who all would probably stay here in the future). There should be another restaurant that offers international fayre, as well as the traditional Chinese restaurant, so both sets of visitors are catered for, and more choice is always good for people that stay longer than 3 days. And vegetarian/ vegan options would be very appreciated.
The “Savoir resort” is not mentioned on Didi maps or on Baidu maps, and the Chinese name bears absolutely no resemblance to the English name 杭州所见 – 西溪度假酒店. Foreign people may have problems finding this location on their maps/ getting here without help (the less help that is required, the better).
The two top-end rooms (6999 yuan a night and 15,000 yuan a night) cannot be booked on
携程 （Ctrip） or Trip.com. I think there should be 5 – 10 pictures on the site showing these rooms as bookable. I take a long time researching a hotel before booking, so the more information available, the better.
The boat trip in the hotel is way better than the boat trip offered outside the hotel. I really enjoyed it, but I don’t think many people use it, which is a shame of a great resource. The fact this hotel has its own private lake is something that makes it stand out from the other hotels.

GGuest UserThe advantage is that the location is very, very good, in the scenic area. But there will be a lot of traffic jams during peak hours because it passes through the scenic area.
The disadvantage is that there is no sound insulation. The wood on the floor makes a creaking sound when walking. I can hear people walking at night, turning on and off lights next door, opening suitcases upstairs, and talking from somewhere. I didn't bring earplugs because I saw other people's comments that the hotel provides earplugs, but I didn't bring them when I actually went there.
In addition, as shown in Figure 1, the toilet and bedroom are next to each other, and there is no sealed door, so there is a smell.
The hotel is supposed to be non-smoking, but ashtrays are provided, and there is a smell of smoke in the elevator and the room. Especially in the room, the smoke will flow in through the pipes.
