Die Lage mit der U-Bahn vor der Türe ist natürlich perfekt. Das Zimmer groß und ausreichend.
Minuspunkte gibt es beim Bett. Das Bett selbst ist zwar bequem aber leider nur mit 2 kleinen Kissen ausgestattet, das ist zu wenig. Bei einem 4 Sterne Hotel erwarte ich verschiedene Kissen, in verschiedenen Größen, damit für jeden etwas dabei ist. Ebenso ist die Bettdecke für den Sommer viel zu dick und dadurch zu warm.
Quite good location , rooms comfortable and cosy , but we spent understand how the air conditioning working , staff friendly and helpful we didnt buy Breakfast but my friends said its good enough , we paid like 100 euro per night , so I think it's very good price ,

I enjoyed. The room was clean. Breakfast was perfekt. Kids were happy. But staff was unhappy. They were a little bit angry. They were never smiling but doing their job good. At the breakfast; when i asked for something; it happened in seconds but they were not smiling. At reception they answered all my touristic questions. They were so serious. I can stay there again

We mostly appreciated the hotel, friendly people, good choice at breakfast and comfortable room. The hotel offers parking and is situated almost next to U1 and U3 access bringing you everywhere you want in Hamburg.

I have stayed at the Novotel Alster for two nights on a business trip to Hamburg. The hotel is easy reachable from the airport by taxi or public transport (with U1 and U3 station entrance right outside the property). Check-in was quick and efficient and given my Accor status I was also treated to a welcome drink. My room was located on the second floor featuring a basic interior but was of decent size. Water and coffee making facilities were provided. Whilst it was not overly hot during the time I spend in Hamburg, the room certainly had issue with the A/C which did not really work (fan blowing but no cold air being delivered regardless of the selected temperature). Another small issue has been the relatively small pillow. The bathroom was clean with modern interior. Amenities being provided in form of two large dispensers of Rituals shampoo and shower gel. Breakfast was served in the ground floor restaurant providing a very decent selection of hot and cold options. This included a very good selection of fresh bakery items. Overall, I would rate the hotel/stay at 3.5 out of 5. The hotel has a few shortcomings; however, the location (at least in my case), breakfast and staff make up for this.

EURO 2024 visit, immediate reaction of the staff to changes in our family team, great breakfast, location within meters to a U-Bahn station, the A/C seemed a bit weak, safe parling in the underground garage, overall a place to be recommended, especially thanks to able and reactive staff

The hotel room was so dirty, we stayed with my two little daughters and my wife. Beer marks on the walls, windows are so dusty, the room smells of dust. Photos are deceiving. The cleaning lady did not come to the room the next day. We had to pay an extra 100 euros for the cleaning. The reason why the cap card does not work without payment They reopened the room by making a cash payment to the reception. I can send you the payment letter and the hotel request letter. My 2-year-old daughter and I were kept waiting at the room door for 30 minutes. Definitely do not go with your family, especially your children.

Was welcomed with “Do something for the environment – skip the cleaning and receive 100 points”. What a joke, should be at least 1000 points. Despite Gold status did not receive an upgrade and there was not even a water bottle in the room. There was only 1 small pillow on each bed. Room was basic, like an Ibis. And there was not even a working desk although I informed them before that I would have a video conference call. For that high price was clearly expecting more. Breakfast was nice but very crowded.
