What a perfect oasis of calm set in the most jaw dropping grounds. The rooms are flawless. The service The best I've ever encountered. I couldn't believe how fabulous it all was. Nothing negative to say. Well done to all involved. Wedding supervisor had a perfect handle on a couple of very awkward guest. Should join the diplomatic service.

A truly memorable stay! Loved everything about this hotel. If you're looking for a historic property with gorgeous gardens, thick stone walls, dark wood interiors, lovely staff, good food and drinks, and a feeling of privacy, tucked down a long driveway, and located a reasonable distance from town center, this is it. A special shout out to Anthony who was amazing and cares for the guests in a manner not often seen in most hotels these days. All of the staff were as kind and helpful as they come. We definitely hope to come back again for a longer stay!

We had a super short break here. The hotel was just what we hoped for. It was clean, tidy and warm. The food was really first class along with the service. Lots of nice touches. We booked to bring our dog with us and this was catered for perfectly. Some lovely ideas like towels at the entrance for muddy paws. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

We went to Holdsworth House for Afternoon Tea as it was bought for me as a gift for Mothers Day. The place itself is absolutely gorgeous and very oldy worldly with its creeky floors and myriad of rooms. The service was OK and staff were friendly. The food was nice and we enjoyed it.

Beautiful historic hotel, with very pretty gardens and surrounding. Comfortable, extremely clean, attractive rooms. Tastefully decorated. Delicious food. Amazing full English breakfast, All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful at all times, they made our stay so enjoyable.

One of the nicest places we have ever been fortunate to stay at. Marvellous food, a place of old world charm-beautifully furnished and excellent, polite, friendly service. In this day and age when hotel standards are not what they used to be, Holdsworth House is a refreshing change. The owning family have every reason to be proud of this gem of hospitality.

We had a lovely time here for afternoon tea on my birthday. The food was delicious and generous and the service very kind and attentive. We finished up with a stroll in the elegant gardens. Highly recommended for a treat. Our waiter Anthony was outstanding.

Lovely quiet hotel & restaurant. We had a very enjoyable stay in one of their estate rooms which was spacious, very well furnished & included an extremely comfortable king size bed. We dined in the restaurant in the evening and had breakfast in the morning and both meals were excellent. Must also mention that all the staff at Holdsworth House were so friendly polite and helpful throughout our stay. I would strongly recommend a visit.

The whole stay was fabulous - Great house (1633) very clean and all was seamless. Staff very nice couldn’t do enough and still had the time to exchange pleasantries and talk. We were there for a wedding I thought it was all wonderful. The grounds are also charming - loved the little cloister
