Wadano Forest Hotel & Apartments

На фото в системе бронирования номер выглядел намного красивее, чем оказался в реальности, поэтому первое впечатление-это разочарование. Мы бронировали двухместный номер. Стоимость проживания была около 200 долларов в сутки за двоих. На наш взгляд для этого номера это дорого. Номер очень уставший. Администратор Джоана- дружелюбная, готова помочь и ответить на вопросы. Нам был предоставлен бесплатный трансфер от автовокзала до отеля и обратно. Вообще водитель отеля всегда кого-то куда-то отвозил- привозил). До ближайшего подъёмника и ресторанов наверное. Мы трансфером отеля до подъёмника не пользовались. По лесной тропинке за 5 минут примерно можно дойти до лыжного склона курорта Happo one. Остановка бесплатного шатла до подъемников курортов Hakuba 48 и Gory находится очень близко. До автовокзала и магазина можно дойти пешком примерно за 30 минут. В отеле есть онсен. В стоимость проживания был включён завтрак. Нормальный в общем. Но в столовой холодно.

The last time we visited Hakuba was in 2017, when we stayed at the Wadano Forest Hotel. We loved it so much that it became an unforgettable highlight of our Japan trip, so naturally, we had to return to the same property this time. With a larger group this year, we decided to stay in the apartment building instead of the hotel rooms (both are conveniently located next to each other and owned by the same fantastic host). It’s great to see how Wadano Forest provides options for groups of all sizes. Last time in 2017, I wrote, “location, location, location.” The location is just as perfect as I remembered—it’s only a few minutes’ walk (snow board boots, and apparently there is some trail for skiers to almost ski-in ski-out) to the Sakka slope lift, which takes you directly to the ski tracks without the hassle of long lines or crowds. For those who prefer not to walk, obviously they offer a convenient shuttle to the lifts. The apartment we stayed in this time was very spacious and modern—perfect for our group of five adults and two children. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it a wonderful base for our trip. For food, we tried "Izakaya Hie" and "Tori Co" during our stay. "Tori Co" was especially convenient, located just a few minutes’ walk from the property. We also ordered takeaway burgers a few times, which were great—unfortunately, I don’t remember the name of the burger place, but the helpful front desk at the hotel have all these great info, just ask them. Our stay at Wadano Forest was once again fantastic. From the cozy accommodations and helpful service to the unbeatable location, it’s a place we would happily return to again. I’m already looking forward to reminiscing about this trip, and here are some photos to capture these wonderful memories.

I stayed at the Wadano forest hotel in February 2025 and had an amazing experience. It is very conveniently located, being just a 10 minute walk from the closest lift and a few restaurants. The hotel itself was clean and spacious, and had all amenities that we needed. We ended up washing some of our ski gear throughout the week, which was so helpful and have not had that experience at other hotels I have been to in the past for skiing. It was very cold in Hakuba (coming from the UK!) but the apartment stayed lovely and warm, which made sleeping and living generally more comfortable. I also ended up working from home on a few of the days, and the WiFi was fast and reliable. There is also an onsen which is so relaxing and nice for exhausted muscles after a long day of skiing, we really enjoyed the experience of having an onsen in the hotel, we felt very lucky! Transport to and from the slopes was so easy in the morning, there are frequent buses that run to multiple lifts in the morning which helped us make the most of our time on the slopes. There is also a pick up option from specific points to take you back to the hotel - thank you, this is a lovely feature to have and we appreciated it! Breakfast at the hotel was lovely, with lots of choice between hot and cold items which was perfect depending on my mood. There was a good selection on offer and especially loved the yogurts! Checking out was sad, as we wanted to stay longer. But upon checking out there is a space to leave your ski rental upon leaving the hotel, making check out smooth and easy. Thank you to all the staff at Wadano that looked after us, we can’t wait to be back to experience Hakuba again!

Really special stay at Wadano. From start to finish we were well looked after. Good pick up and drop off service to the ski locations and it’s a short 10 min walk to Happo One resort as well as an amazing yakitori resto. We were dropped off right outside too from our Nagano snow shuttle from the train station. Modern facilities as well as a private onsen which was absolutely magic. The heating in our apartment and hot water meant that we were always well rested after a long day of being on the slopes. In general the location is perfect for us. Thank you so much would love to stay again!!! Ps shout out to the lovely Japanese lady staff member who was so accommodating and helpful. :)

Had such an amazing stay at Wadano Forrest Hotel! Joanie was so kind and accommodating! The staff Daniel, Cody, Em, Ben, and Ai were awesome! Had an epic snowboarding trip and was super stoked that Wadano offered us rides to the slopes and made every day amazing! 10/10 I will definitely be back and HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in Hakuba! - Cameron

We stayed for five nights at Wadano Forest and we loved it! Joanie and all her staff were all so friendly and helpful. Joanie, in particular, went out of her way to help us with transport one day because the roads were slippery and my 11-year-old daughter had to get from one slope to another for a ski lesson. They were also quite helpful with providing information about places to eat and other activities in the area. The breakfast bar was stacked with options and we had a nice view of the main entrance covered in snow from our room. We loved the Hakuba area too and would like to go back one day and if we do, we'll be sure to stay at Wadano Forest.
