We love this hotel. We stayed on the 9th flloor suite with onsen bath. The room is huge with a big sofa and two twin beds. If we come back to Hakodate, we definitely will stay here again. Good points: - Clean and spacious room - private onsen that you can enjoy as often as you can - Superb Japanese breakfast (they even tried to cater to our special food request - Helpful and professional staffs - Nice location (quiet area, but near all tourist spots) - There are local yummy restaurants near the hotel too.

I stayed two nights at Noguchi Hakodate and overall it was good esp. for the food. Yet, the room originally assigned to me upon check-in was far below satisfaction and even a bit astonishing. Specifically, There was been noisy flowing water in the bathroom upstairs and it could also be clearly heard in the living room. Thought it was due to the rainy weather at the very beginning but it continued afterwards at night. In addition, there was sort of construction/elevator noise heard from time to time as well in the room. Two kinds of noises going on continuously in a room and you could imagine how annoying it is. Just my assumption - hotel staff should already know these issues/problems with this room (422) before my arrival but it was still assigned to me. After I told them about it, they quickly said to change a room for me (after a pretty check of the room situation). Quite weird and you know what I’m talking about.

Very nice and relaxing onsen hotel with your own private onsen in your room. Soak in the onsen and great night sleep. Awesome! Very spacious room; one of the largest i have been in in all of Japan. It was very quite with not many guest at the time which was nice. Staff are all very nice and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return. Breakfast was amazing.

We stayed here for 4 nights in April during the cherry blossom season. The private onsen was an amazing experience and the breakfast and dinner options at the Hotel were delicious. We had a few food allergies within our family, and the Kitchen was able to make the appropriate adjustments. Rooms come with a coffee grinder/maker, not the espresso machines we expect to have in most hotels. We did have a baby with us, and it was a little challenging with the stairs in the room, but other than that this was the perfect ryokan getaway and we would most definitely come back.

Been to Hokkaido many times but first time in Hakodate. Bourou Noguchi is one of the most expensive hotels in Yunokawa area. The Noguchi Group of hotels operates quite a few hotels in the Donan area (southern Hokkaido). Seems most, if not all, of the room are fitted with private onsen. We have a duplex room with living room and bedroom on the lower floor, and bath room on the upper floor. The room size is enormous by any Japan standard. With a premium price you pay, you get almost everything you need in a room, coffee beans and maker, free mini bar drinks, Loccitane toiletries, private in-room onsen, an empty Japanese style living room with no furniture where you can do yoga, two TVs. The room has windows on two sides facing east and west. The hotel as a whole takes a western style of decoration rather than a traditional style. I guess since most of the rooms has its own onsen, as a result the public bath on the top floor is not very outstanding, however, there are free drinks and ice cream on the lounge next to the onsen entrance. And the lounge has a nice view on Hakodate city and Mount Hakodate. Every room has its designated dining room in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Both meals serve Japanese and western style dishes. My personal opinion is that Japanese dishes is better. Service in restaurant and front desk is as good as you will find in a Japanese hotel. On the ground floor there is a library, and a bar opens until late. There is not much in the surrounding area except onsen hotels, however, there are noodle shop, sushi restaurant and drug store nearby.
