Las Puertas del Paraíso

For our second trip to DR as a couple, we chose to settle for 10 days at Rio San Juan. Our accommodation had to be comfy, clean, and close to attractions and beaches. We could not have chosen a better place. Our bungalow, the Colibri, is spacious, clean and airy with a view of a luscious garden. First, Giovanni arranged to have us picked up at the Puerto Plata airport making the arrival smooth and easy after a tiring plane ride. Upon arrival, Lisbet greeted us warmly and showed us to our lodging. Later on, we had our first meal at the on-site restaurant, one of the top rated ones in the area. We started with the best Lambi Ceviche we’ve ever had followed by the Langostina in house sauce and calmars a la plancha accompanied by an excellent bottle of Sicilian wine. We had several other meals here, it was that good. The breakfasts were fresh, complete, and served by the pool. Definitely coming back to this most wonderful paradise!

I had a fantastic time at puertas del Paraíso. it is a peaceful and beautiful spot to take a breath from the city. The food is absolutely delicious, and the beach is just 7 min away in car. As a solo female traveller without a car , I felt secure and free to visit Río San Juan without a problem. I had even a fantastic massage in the premises. The accommodations are rustic, ( can benefit of a bit of updating), but the most uplifting of staying here is the company of the wonderful and kind owners who made the difference. I had a minor accident getting off a moto taxi and Lizbeth and Giovanni took so well care of me and my leg. I will be always grateful of their generosity. They made me feel as part of their family in 2 days. I strongly recommend to stop here if you are in the area or want to visit Río San

This is a charming rustic hotel with spacious rooms and a large pool. The property comes complete with chickens, a rooster and two very friendly donkeys. Je ne connaissais pas la République dominicaine à part les idées préconçues, et encore moins, cet établissement ! Je vous assure, que si vous appréciez le calme, la nature sous toutes ses formes, être serein est bien accueilli et pris en charge avec des prix raisonnables depuis l'Aéroport de Las Américas vers Rio San Juan. Cet écrin de verdure vous est offert en 2 h 30, il vous surprendra aux Portes du Paradis... Représentatif d'une réelle de vie et suggestions en sorties de qualités. Mais aussi surtout des vraies analyses de la vie locale. C'est, je pense, le meilleur, un juste bon endroit à Rio San Juan à ne pas rater pour découvrir la vie locale. Parfait aussi, en tous points, en termes de prix pour l'hébergement par sa qualité de propreté et d'élégance, rare et aussi l'accueil de la direction que je vous incite à contacter pour vous en assurer. Le personnel est franchement adorable et très sécurisant. Le petit déjeuner est compris  pour 1800 DOP, tout est frais au petit déjeuner, vous avez même les œufs de leur élevage familial, "frits ou au plat" ! J'ai passé 15 jours, "hors du commun et très loin des arnaques". Merci, j'ai eu du mal à partir… Des passionnés amoureux du bien-être et de bons conseils « Giovanni et Lisbeth » Une formidable expérience en République dominicaine, grâce à vous, hors du tourisme de masse, en solo, je reviendrai, à Rio San Juan.
