This Ryokan was a delightful and peaceful place to stay.
The room was very spacious with en-suite sitting room, mini fridge and kettle, also a private bathroom so quite like a mini suite. The view was so relaxing with running water, a pond, and surrounding trees, it would make a lovely retreat if only there weren't interesting places nearby to explore.
A short 10/15 min drive to the nearby picturesque Gujo Hachiman with riverside walk, castle and restaurants/cafes.
Our host was most kind and hospitable, the breakfast he prepared was like a multi course banquet! make sure you have a good appetite!

This was one of the best experiences we had in Japan. The staff went out of their way to be accommodating and to make us feel so welcome. The food was absolutely amazing. The property was beautiful and the city was a delight. It was such a wonderful place. I would highly recommend this place for anyone wanting to get away from the hustle of the city.
