Hotel JI Hotel di Guangzhou

Definitely it is better than as compared with those small boutique hotel. Spacious,clean and nice view hotel. But location is far from shopping area and it is traffic jam at tianhe area. Not suggest to stay at tianhe area. It was power outage two times at mid night around 1am and 3.30am. it was so scary 😰 and terrifying as imagine the room was dark, no network (wifi), no phone connection to contact receptionist , no air con circulation. After checked, hotel replied that was annual security check! Unbelievable!!! Breakfast are same every day. Advised not to take breakfast if you plan to stay for continuous days.

Booked my stay for 8 nights and below are my reviews. ISSUE 1 We were given the room facing the railway station and true to other traveller’s review, it IS NOISY! The constant honks of the vehicles can start at 7am till 12midnight everyday. When we entered the room on the first day, we tried to on the air-con for better ventilation but instead of cool air, warm air came out. Tried to adjust the settings but there was no change. Went to the reception to enquire but they mentioned they were not able to on the central aircon as it’s winter season and they would need to get management’s approval to activate it. what they could offer us was to open the one and only small window in our room. We told them we already opened it but it’s still warm so the other alternative is to provide us with standing fans which they did. Imagine us sleeping for 5 nights with the window open and the fans on, hearing the cars honks from 7am-12midnight. IT WAS TORTURE. Luckily on the 6th day, we enquired again and they finally activated the central air-con. Mind you the winter season in Guangzhou is totally different temperature than Shanghai or Beijing. There’s no need to off the central aircon at all. ISSUE 2 There were 20 floors in this hotel but there were only three lifts in this building. The lift space was small, could only fit 9 adults max in my opinion. The speed the lifts were going was also slow. Plus, you’re sharing the space with the service robots. So if you’re staying here, kindly cater extra waiting time. ISSUE 3 The rooms are not labeled non-smoking/ smoking room. So you could be staying in a non-smoking room but the room around you could be a smoking room. There were days where we could smell cigarette smoke in our toilet and unable to find the source. And there were days when we came out of our room to walk to the lift, the whole corridor smelled of cigarettes. I pity the cleaners having to use the humidifier everyday while cleaning the rooms. PLUS side - the room I booked was spacious. Could fit in four medium sized luggages with loads of space to walk around. - toilet was clean and spacious - there’s free bottled water provided and could ask for more - metro station is just below us. Conclusion, this would be my first and last visit to this hotel. Will probably stay somewhere away from the railway station in the future and will make sure to check with the hotels if their air-con is working. Not worth the price I’m paying for.

Hotel location is very good. Easy to get anywhere. Clean beddings and no smell of cigarette smoke (which was annoying in Ramada, opposite hotel). Breakfast Chinese style, in 20 meters 7eleven and Starbucks with if need western style.

Love the minimalist design of the hotel, modern and clean. I am always excited to come back to the room after outing. If I have a chance to redesign my house this is the way I am going to do it.

We stayed 5 nights. One of the days, the floor was not vacuumed. We can see some fallen hair still left on the floor when we came back. The tv channels were not functioning. But we still like the hotel for its use of high tech, room cleanliness, comfort and non-slip floor in shower area (good for elderly). Can also improve on the friendliness of the front counter service

It was a great stay for us! The location is very close to the metro and it was easy to take a taxi from here too. The hotel staff were very helpful and check in and check out was seamless. There are many good food spots around as well. The hotel room came with a tea set for us to make tea and the rooms were very clean. Overall it was a very pleasant stay and value for money!

The service attitude is good, the room is clean and odorless, the bedding is comfortable, the room is quiet and you can sleep until you wake up naturally. The hotel is surrounded by restaurants, KFC and McDonald's are kids' favorites. It is very close to the Guangzhou Tower and I walked there with my children. Of course, if you don't want to walk, you can take a taxi. Five-star recommendation, I will come again next time.

Very clean and tidy,counter staff very friendly. There is a washing room for all guests to clean and dry up the cloth. Very near to train station

Convenient transportation, very close to the subway station, the lobby is warm and bright, the room is clean and tidy, the front desk lady is warm and thoughtful, it was a very happy stay experience, I will come again if I have the chance...

I booked Ji as I wanna see their cutie robots. Other Ji hotels have food delivery robots. However this hotel doesn’t have them. And it is not really safe as delivery guys could get lift card to customers’ room. I would prefer the robots. They gave me teeth brush at reception which is not professional.
