Thera wasn’t just chic and beautiful. It was also the most comfortable of several places that I stayed in when I visited Guangzhou and Hong Kong. Downstairs there’s a coffee/tea shop that’s open during the day, run by the same courteous folks who operate the hotel. The side street it’s on has a full assortment of food spots. My favorite was the old-school eats at the street entrance, and there’s not just one but TWO dessert cafes! The Guangzhou 1 and 2 lines are nearby so you can’t really go wrong here. Besides all the alleys, the nearby Liurong temple is worth exploring.

During my trip to Guangzhou, I chose a B&B near Beijing Road. It was close to everywhere for food. Beijing Road and Xihua Road were within walking distance. Several historical sites and cultural relics were all on a straight line. It happened that the weather was warm and sunny when I arrived in Guangzhou, which was perfect for a city walk. The B&B is full of artistic atmosphere. The coffee shop, corridors and rooms are full of lines. I also practiced photography during my stay. The housekeepers took special care and also provided breakfast and coffee. When I was leaving, I took too long to pack and almost missed the high-speed train. The housekeeper helped me carry my suitcase, which was very thoughtful. We went to many local restaurants according to the recommendations in the homestay guide, and the food in Guangzhou is well-deserved!

There are many delicious foods on weekends and convenient transportation. You must visit Liurong Temple, which is not far from the hotel.
