Bristol Hotel ★★★

📍 8, 10 Cathedral Square, Gibraltar

"This hotel looks like it has not been decorated or modernised for decades .. I am all in favour of quaint hotels that have character and charm but this hotel smelt so stale and fusty , it just didn’t feel clean. We paid £274 for two nights which didn’t include breakfast .. I understand it is very old but that’s not an excuse for the horrible smell which makes it feel very unclean. Our room had the same stale , fusty smell. It is not somewhere I would want to stay again."

"Fantastic stay, with the rooms being spotless. It was less than a 5 minute walk to Ocean View marina, and Market Place and Square. The staff and the management could not have been more accommodating to us and so relaxed, from booking restaurants, excursions and taxis any time we asked. I can't recommend highly enough We will definitely be back"

📍 Devil's Tower Road E1 Suites & Spa, Gibraltar

"Stayed for 4 nights in August. Lovely clean apartments with everything you could possibly need. Spa and pool area is one of the nicest I’ve ever been too. Very large pool, sauna, steam room, plunge pool and hot tub. Very close to the beach. Downstairs restaurant is delicious for breakfast and dinner. Very friendly service. Casemates square is about a 20 minute walk away with great eateries, bars and the Main Street is just around the corner from it. We would definitely stay again as we had a great holiday."

"The hotel environment is nice, clean and tidy, but the price is a bit expensive. The front desk also charged an additional 7 pounds city tax without prior notice."

Bristol Hotel ★★★
"Son and I out here due to a cancelled flight. Nightmarish. Rooms from the 1960’s. Felt like the Hollywood Tower of Terror. Noisy. Smelly. Key opened 3 rooms. Barricaded the door and felt very unsafe. Corridors we like dimly lit tunnels. Wish I could give minus points."

"We stayed here in December for three nights as part of our sons 11th Bday celebrations. We had a fantastic suite overlooking the airport runway and into the mountains of Spain. The suite was so comfy and spotless with plenty of space. The breakfast was included in what we paid and it was table service with spec orders which was so nice compared to the usual buffet fare. This is next to bus stops so you can get around the small peninsula very very quickly. Walking distance to the three nice beaches on the eastern side too. If you are staying in Gibraltar I wpuld highly reccomend."

Rock Hotel ★★★★
"A classic hotel in a great location with views over the port and Mediterranean to Spain and Morocco from our balcony and “the Rock” just behind. Comfortable room but starting to show its age a little and repeated complaints to reception never managed to get our dusty floor and bathroom door cleaned. Airport taxi booked through the hotel did not arrive and had to be rebooked. Standards slipping since its heyday."
