Surprised us with luggage delivery service. The attendant lifted the luggage up with ropes via a hook to the upper floor before it was delivered to the guest room. Nice heritage ambiance for a short stay.

設施：雖然比較簡單，但你能感覺到店家滿滿的用心，需要的都有 衞生：非常乾淨的，在這個環境裏有家的感覺 環境：周邊是小印度，還能走100多米去到海邊看海，海那邊有輪渡 服務：服務非常優質，老闆親自幫拿行李，還親自詢問要不要煎蛋，還給拿一份印度餅給你嘗試，很貼心。

A wonderful location in Little India of Penang. A restored bldg with a pleasant vibe. Staff were hospitable, efficient and friendly. Breakfast was simple and perfect. Rooms were very spacious, and nicely furnished. Would return!!!!!!!

We absolutely loved our stay here. At first we weren't sure if we were entering the lobby or an antique shop but once we were inside we were greeted warmly, our suitcase was whisked upstairs using an ingenious rope pulley, and we were immediately immersed in a place where every single piece of decor was clearly carefully considered to fit within the antique style. Despite the old school surrounds, there were modern comforts like air conditioning, and every part of the hotel was also spotlessly clean (while retaining character). We stayed in a family room with our 2 kids aged 7 & 9, and there was plenty of room for the whole family. We had our own room with a door, while the kids had two single beds in the wider area. I especially appreciated their efforts to reduce their environmental impact by serving filtered water in glasses, even their bins were lined with old newspaper instead of plastic bags. If you stay here, make sure you have at least one lunch or dinner at the cafe downstairs, it was so delicious and packed with local flavours. Their breakfast selection was also surprisingly wide and super tasty, including nonya desserts and roti which my son loved. Location couldn't be better, you're a short walk from all of Georgetown's attractions. Overall I think we enjoyed our stay here more than our beach resort. If you see this hotel has availability, I urge you to book immediately, it's a real gem.

Everything about this hotel is just lovely! It is an old quaint building..so don't expect Hilton! .. but that is why it is such a brilliant experience! The room was great.. very chilled! The food was great and above all, the staff are so lovely! Definitely stay here!

Right in the middle of Penang Little India. Very nicely kept pre war Chinese shop house that used to be a traditional medicine shop. Morning was served delicious char kwai tel, nasi lemak and variety of nyonya dessert. Highly recommended to those who want to explore Penang rich culture and local hidden food gem.

This is an unusual hotel, several stories tall, converted from an old, Chinese medical hall. There is one very salient point which must be highlighted. Because the owners had to work with the building as they received it, there are two floors of very steep and very narrow stairs. Rooms are on the 2nd & 3rd floors. If your room is on the 2nd floor, you have one flight of 22 steps. If your room is on the 3rd floor - as was mine - you have two steep flights of stairs, 44 steps. In addition, as I had a loft room, that was an additional 15 steps, from the living area / bathroom to the bed. There is no lift - they use a pulley to handle your suitcases - so that is a plethora of steps each day, and very narrow ones. I’m certain it’s great for one’s cardio, but not your psyche. As I stayed a full week, I was constantly paranoid that I would take a tumble. As I said, I don’t blame the property: this is the building they inherited. But folk absolutely must know in advance about all the steps, as many folk couldn’t handle it. Good points: - a very simple, perfectly adequate breakfast. - the WiFi was excellent- no issues at all. - ditto, the air conditioning. - the bed was very comfortable. - all the staff were very kind. The points less than stellar:: - the shower is very good, but the hot water says “bye bye” after 6-7 minutes. - there is no hot water at all in bathroom sink. - there is no in- room safe; only at reception. - the aforementioned steps. Tourist tip: The most charming street in town is Armenian Street, between Beach and Cannon. This is the place to get souvenirs, and the only place to find postcards. From the hotel, walk 1 block over, to Beach Street, 145 steps. Turn right at Beach, go through one major intersection - Chulia Street - you’ll see the fire station across the street and continue another block, to Armenian, on the right. Once you turn onto Beach Street, it’s 661 steps to Armenian. With the exception of the steps, the inn is recommended.
