Ulasan Tien Hotel Georgetown

Renovation ongoing and likely to be going on for at least a month. Was not informed before booking. The location is convenient but the room and shower are really small. One of the 3 rooms booked had a malfunctioning AC which was not rectified during the duration of the stay despite complaints to the staff. Won't be returning for my 4th time for sure.

The hotel location is right on the hot spot of Georgetown. But it goes with noise at night until 2am. So if you plan to be partying at night it's ideal and walking distance to Love Lane and all Georgetown touristic areas. But if you wish to sleep and relax after midnight definitely not the right hotel for you. The room was OK in terms of size but a lot of mosquitoes coming from the bathroom drain. I've killed at least 50 of them thanks to a mosquito raquet 🤣 The tip is to close the bathroom curtains so they don't get in the bedroom. Humidity in the room had the paint peeling off. For the price I don't think the room quality was enough. Specially for the humidity and mosquitoes combination. The breakfast menu was not available but you can easily go down the street and eat at ease or order with the application grab. No bar available in the hotel. The shared areas are clean. Loved that you have to take off your shoes at the entrance. There are stairs to get into the hotel but they help you with your luggage. The first time you arrive you need to ring the bell for them to come open for you. Small door not easy to spot at first. I suggest to the hotel to stick the name directly on the door at eye level and big to avoid confusion. I've uploaded a picture of the door for you to not get lost. After you check in they will give you the door code so easy for you to get by. Staff has been helpful when asked but not interacting or giving you suggestion or asking you how things are going. I've rated cleanness average because there was a lot of hair in the bathroom when I arrived. Had to literally take it off during 5 minutes. Thick long hair... Not sure how they didn't spot it. Apart of that they were cleaning all right the rest of the stay. Internet was not easy to get when in the room but in common areas or close to the door of the room works better. Don't save on a sim card and buy at the airport for having internet at all times on your phone. Will help you with maps and outside anyway. The taxi from the airport was very convenient only 30 minutes and I ordered with grab came within 5 minutes. Hope this information helps 🌹

Overall a pleasant stay but for the price we paid, there are better options. No activities or any programmes. The poolside bar is not open for business. It took a while to get the smart TV to work with Netflix ourselves.

I stayed in the suite at tien last year, so I stayed in the king size bed room at tien this year. It should be more convincing. Booking a suite is still a good choice. If you want to book a small room, please think twice. There is no partition in the bathroom of the small room. The bathroom only has a canopy. There are many small insects and mosquitoes.

Do not go!! I booked the hotel for the pool and when I got there it was a hot and dirty water tank, a shame. The internet is very bad (inside the room it works terrible), the attendants have no desire to help. Very very noisy until late at night. For the expensive price I paid I could have stayed in a hotel that wasn't a lie. And the worst part: there is no door between the bedroom and the bathroom, just a curtain. So when you use it to make number 2 everyone hears it and smells it!!!! The only good thing is that it is well located and has free coffee. Please look for another place so as not to give money to those who cheat through the photos.

The location is good, with restaurants and sightseeing spots within walking distance. However, there are many bars nearby, so it is very noisy until late at night. The hotel pool is under maintenance and cannot be used. It is small, about the size of a jacuzzi. There are no staff in this small hotel with 8 rooms in total. They only assist you at check-in. There is a refrigerator and self-service coffee in the shared space. Housekeeping is OK.

It's a pitfall. The air conditioner squeaks and the cooling effect is worrying. It feels like the decoration is not finished during the holiday. Some walls have not been painted. The sound insulation is very poor. I can't sleep without earplugs. For the price of 550 per night, I regret not looking at it again. Such a big hotel has no signboard, making it like a street hotel.

The location of the hotel is remarkable, very good, convenient to go everywhere. Downstairs is next to a breakfast shop, the roast meat and white chicken are absolutely delicious, especially delicious. The hotel is very clean, and the accommodation is satisfactory. It is a good choice to only sleep and mainly go out for fun. The only dissatisfied waitress who came down to open the door for us was thin and wearing a nose stud, very arrogant and impolite. The location is very good, but the Chinese name of the hotel is different from the Chinese name on the hotel site. The hotel entrance is very hidden, the room is not big, the facilities are average, and the taxes and fees are different from those shown on the Ctrip website, 10.3RM/day (RMB after discount) The tax is about 16 yuan). The hotel price and actual situation are slightly not worth it. The hotel requires slippers to enter the second floor. Some tiles on the stairs have fallen off, which can easily cause injury.
