MainStay Suites Gatlinburg Downtown Area

Overall, we enjoyed ourselves. The beds were very uncomfortable and one of the elevators was down and it took a long time for the other one to open, so we opted for 4 flights of steps.

Hostess was rude and no hot tub, elevator on 2nd floor did not work had to walk steps and check in time was 3 and that is when we got there the room was not ready until 5:30! The room was nice and although it had an indoor pool the water was too cold to get in- also no breakfast just coffee!

I was notified day of check in that they were not going to provide a breakfast and only provide coffee. I went down next morning for coffee and they did not have any creamer for coffee. The hotel is pretty new with hard floors and no insulation in the rooms. It sounded like I had someone moving furniture in cowboy boots all night upstairs. Next door the tv was loud in our room all night. The hotel was way overpriced at nearly 300$ per night and was barely worth more than 80$. Very disappointed in the quality of the stay at this price point. The staff were all very friendly but I would not recommend to anyone.

Check in was two hours late ! Elevator on second floor was not working. No breakfast was offered. Partying in lobby with alcoholic drinks while families were coming in. Rooms were not cleaned. All in all one of the worst vacation experiences I have ever had. Will never stay at this location again. Some calls were made to corporate while we were waiting in lobby. For over two hours. I’m thinking of doing the same and voicing my opinion.

If you call the front desk they will hang up as soon as the phone rings. They do not care about the people staying there. The people working the front desk are extremely rude and don’t care if you stay there or not. This hotel is a disgrace and should close their doors.

We went to Gatlinburg to celebrate our 44th wedding anniversary. Hotel is new. Hotel manager has really dropped the ball. "Punch list" of fixes and clean ups that are often done just before closing was not colpleted. Others have stated some in their reviews. Cabinet doors in kitchenette need to be adjusted, as microwave door scrapes. Tape residue, excess grout, etc was never fully cleaned up before opening. The cabinets do not have door and drawer handles... they said that they serve coffee in the morning but you must bring your own cup. We were shorted one mug in our room. They made a point to tellus that they did not serve breakfast... do they plan to at some point? We werent sure. The elevators are stainless steel, but definitely stain, they were a handprint mess. There are products that polish stainles steel, and this was just a management "drop". We were watching a show on tv, and all of a sudden got a mesage that that channel was no longer part of this hotels service. Im surprised that the company does not make sure their new hotels are up and running well. This hotel is in a nice location, and just needs some help with management. Staff was friendly. They were full. I hope they get these things worked out soon, so they can be successful.

Very impressed with Mainstays. Was weary at first no one there. But, was able to check-in before time. Room was very clean. All of hotel clean. Quiet and comfy. Staff was good. Recommend.

I’d like to File a complaint. My room had bugs crawling all around when I checked in on 1 DEC 23. I promptly reported this at approximately 630pm to the front desk who related they’d send someone up. I waited around for a hour in my room and no one ever showed up. Today, 3 December 2023, I left early in the morning to go hiking. I left the do not disturb sign on my door. I returned around 5pm or so to find none my belongs in my room. I went down to the desk and they had my items but my AirPods were missing. I related this to the desk and no one seems to know what happened to them. I can track them inside the hotel.

The small kitchen in the hotel room was a super nice touch! Love being able to make a small breakfast in the morning.
