Premier Inn Newcastle (Team Valley)

Was very easy to find and parking was free upon entering we were greeted by a very welcoming and friendly member of staff who checked us in and pointed us to our room. Upon entering out room it was very cold and none of the heaters were working. The room was clean and tidy. The next morning we popped to reception to mention the cold room and also that the bathroom fan ran all night. When we came back later that night the heating was fixed and also another heater was in the room. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will be returning when we visit the north east again

Couldn't use the HDMI port on the tv to use my own device, toilet had a bad smell coming from it, meal deal charged hidden extras for the decent items from the food and drinks menu and the food is average at best, my steak was undercooked despite waiting half hour for it. For the cost of the rooms in this hotel in the middle of an industrial estate, I'd expect a meal deal to include everything not just the cheapest items that means the meal deal barely saves you anything.

Classic Premier Inn set up. Comfortable rooms for a family of 4. Clean and enough room. The restaurant area is very small and we felt there was not much choice and that we were almost an annoyance to be there as the atmosphere was just all wrong so we quickly decided to leave before ordering anything. We went over to the pub to have a meal which was good and did the job with greater choce and reasonable price. Other meals we had away from the area apart from breakfast from the Greggs around the corner and the breakfast in the hotel. The TV was a bit of a nightmare. It had such a delay when trying to change channel or change the volume etc So bad you thought you hadn't pressed it so would end up over pressing etc. It was annoying when we wanted to use it like first thing in the morning while getting ready and last thing at night but otherwise the only issue. To counteract that we used the bar on 2 nights and took advatage of the 2 cocktails for £12 deal and the bar staff were really good in that they realised we wanted the offer before the time ran out and were happy to accept the payment but then make the drink when we wanted them. Excellent service when they didn't need to do that and I was not expecting it. For the price difference of not being in Newcastle City Centre but only a £10 taxi ride from the city it was worth the saving and would certainly look at going there again

I stay here at least once a month and the service is always brilliant. The staff remember me, which after driving from Southampton is wonderful. My favourites are Laura Gray and Ricky, can’t thank you enough for always been so welcoming. Prem plus rooms are my favourite and are always spotless. I drive alot for work and this is my favourite premier inn site.

The staff were impeccable. From arrival to dinner, breakfast and check out, the process was slick and the staff were friendly, attentive and helpful but never intrusive. The food was excellent quality and exceptional value for money (we took the option to pre-book our food). The room was spotlessly clean. The shower was hot and powerful and fully adjustable. The bed was super comfy with plenty of spare bedding if required. Highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again.

Wehave been a loyal customer of Premier Inn for many years, appreciating the consistent quality and value your hotels have traditionally offered. However, I am disappointed to report that my recent experiences have not met the standards I have come to expect. During our stay at the Team Valley Premier Inn, We encountered several issues that significantly impacted my experience. The hotel appeared to be poorly maintained, with cleanliness being a major concern. Additionally, the staff seemed disinterested and unengaged, which further detracted from the overall experience. The dining experience at the Thyme restaurant was particularly disappointing. The food, while initially looked promising, was served with stale bread and without butter. My soup arrived without bread, and the burgers were served cold. Despite bringing these issues to the staff's attention, the response was unsatisfactory, and it took considerable effort to eventually obtain a refund for the meal. Given these experiences, I am hesitant to consider Premier Inn as my go-to hotel chain in the future. I hope they will take this feedback seriously and address the issues to ensure that future guests do not encounter similar problems.
