Americas Best Value Inn-Garden City

The shower in our room (226?) was basically unusable. The water was extremely hot when I turned the dial even slightly one direction and extremely cold if turned slightly the other direction, and turning it to the middle turned the water off. My guess is that either it wasn't designed to be a dial-type valve or that the mixing valve is broken because it was either completely hot water or completely cold water. We asked the desk clerk for a partial refund the next morning, and she was courteous but said we would need to contact the manager directly. I emailed the address on the business card but it's been several days and I haven't gotten a reply. The room was okay other than that, but for $100, I'd like a working shower. The microwave was also really old and took twice as long as the directions on my food said, and there was only one electrical outlet visible, so I had to unplug the clock and a lamp to plug in our phones.

The entire town smelled like feedlot. However, inside the motel, there was no odor of feedlot/cattle barns

Overall things were fine. However, the door didn’t like to close or the deadbolt latch. The bathroom could use a good deep clean and a little update but everything else was good and the service was amazing.

Came to watch my daughter in the high school wrestling tournament. It was at a good location with many restaurants and stores around and easy to get to. For an older hotel, it was nicely updated and it was a good value for a spontaneously trip(wasnt going to drive that 4 hours to go).

We were in town for a Miss Rodeo Kansas event. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful at check in! The room was neat and tidy and smelled fresh and clean. The beds were comfortable and it was a quiet neighborhood. We will definitely stay again the next time we are in town.

Great price, park in front of our room. Lots of concrete. Fence was broken so walked dogs put on that grass. We will be back!

older motel on the edge of residential area. Back street. Could be a bit hard to find. Surrounded by noisy small birds and all that birds do

First time here. Very comfortable stay. Plenty of room. Bed was comfortable. Quiet area.

Was looking for a pet friendly hotel. No prices are anywhere listed on the site for pets. Having to small dogs, it costed $40.00 on top of my room. Quite expensive which ended up being $150.00. It was late and others were sold out in the GC area.
