Really enjoyed my stay at fort bazaar. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Due to the rainy weather down south I changed my plans to go to Tangalle and stay a couple of extra days at Fort Bazaar and enjoyed the spa and walking around Galle.
I was a solo traveler and felt safe and comfortable there.
Definitely somewhere I would consider to stay again

What a lovely hotel. Relaxed, stylish, peaceful and really helpful staff. Rooms are spacious and well equipped. We especially liked the complementary afternoon tea and happy hour. Breakfast was a dream. Galle is lovely too- Should have stayed longer!

Fort Bazaar is my third experience with Teardrop hotels. Like all hotels and villas at Teardrop, Fort Bazaar is the perfect blend of the historical Ceylon and the contemporary island. It is conveniently located in the heart of the Galle Fort with close access to the Fort's many attractions. Fort Bazaar itself is a prime example of the colonial architecture tastefully redecorated by Teardrop hotels. We booked two rooms and the staff at Fort Bazaar was thoughtful enough to give us two rooms that connected internally. It felt like a suite. The rooms were very spacious and the mini bar was complementary. The package included a complementary evening tea, alcohol and mocktails but to me, the most treasured experience was the guided tour round the Galle Fort. Special thanks to Mr. Tharanga Liayanage Arachchi who is a wealth of knowledge. He has a genuine interest in preserving this UNESCO heritage site for the future generations. Fort Bazaar is a probably a high end villa but do keep an eye for promotions. You wouldn't regret a penny spent.

Good location, walking distance to lots of places in Galle. Suite was amazing (upgrade due to honeymoon), comfortable bed, spacious, efficient laundry service. Food was very tasty, very large breakfast that could never finish. Dinner was lovely too. Happy hour each day was a nice touch, sitting in the courtyard having a couple of drinks. Staff very friendly and helpful, couldn’t have made us feel more welcome.

Visited the restaurant for dinner with my wife and young family and had a fantastic experience! Despite a last minute mix up with a reserved table! The staff were brilliant and more than made up for it with generous service throughout the meal. The food was fantastic and the kids were totally catered for with more western dishes. The restaurant and hotel space are very grand and stylish with chilled vibe.

We spent only 1 night in a suite in this lovely hotel in Galle - it was by far the best hotel on our trip around Sri Lanka. The staff - no matter at which area - was remarkable friendly and motivated, the food at dinner and breakfast was excellent and the room (suite) was more than comfortable with the huge bathroom and the excellent bed. Furthermore, the location inside the old fort walls is perfect for walking around and enjoying the atmosphere in the historical part of Galle. We can only recommend to stay longer in this hotel to explore the city in a relaxed ways.

Booked for 4x nights and knew from the moment we arrived that it was going to be a treat. Easy check in and really appreciated the information on our 'package', which included afternoon tea and happy hour. The hotel is beautiful, with various seating areas. The bedrooms were large and airy, with all the usual facilities. Fresh water left in our room everyday. Breakfast was delicious from varied menu options. Great location for walking around Galle and recommend the free guided walk available. What really sets it apart are the staff. Professional, but friendly without being over familiar and nothing is too much trouble. Thank you.
