Three House Hotel

Just back from a recent adventure that included beautiful Madeira! An absolute gem. As we had 8 nights, we decided to divide our time between two locations, although both in Funchal. At first it seemed silly, but I really wanted the resort experience, thus we stayed 4 nights at Savoy Palace, which was also great. However, our 4 night stay at Three House was also fantastic and what made it even better was the exceptional support from their staff, especially Sid. Even before our visit, Sid was on hand to answer any and all questions. His advice and suggestions for our day trips were spot on and so helpful. And once we were there he went above and beyond. After returning from a day of hiking, I had lost my wallet. I asked Sid if he could contact staff at Pico do Aeriro…..long story short….he managed to locate my wallet and arrange its transfer and return!! The hotel itself is perfect. It has everything you need for a great stay. They had me at all the SMEG appliances. A great rooftop pool and bar, with live music. A gym we never used, because as Sid said, get outside and explore the island!!! The restaurant was also excellent. The only scary thing for us was the navigating the parking lot! But after 4 nights, we got used to it. Be careful. lol If you choose Three House for your home base in Madeira you will have made a great choice

Lovely apartment room in the heart of the city, minutes away from the shops and restaurants of the main town and the old town. Plenty of space, good WiFi, excellent host who couldn’t do more to help us, over and above our expectations. Fresh croissants left outside the room every morning, free tea and coffee daily. Also free filtered water available anytime and other drinks available to purchase in the large refrigerator. A beautiful roof top bar with breathtaking panoramic views of Funchal city. Our apartment room was on the busy road side of the hotel and although there is good soundproofing, it was a bit noisy during the day. The road was almost deserted and quiet at night though. Personally we would have benefited from a microwave oven.

I wrote a negative review of my stay here and it was deleted by the hotel!!! I wondered after my stay how it was possible that this hotel was on tripadvisor's top 10 and now I know! they delete negative reviews! what a complete sham you should be ashamed of yourselves
