This was for the domestic flight portion of W. Aisha who received us was great. Perhaps due to lower occupancy we took quite an early seaplane back to the airport and had a 7h layover.

My wife and I just returned from an incredible stay at W Maldives to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and birthdays. We were fortunate to be some of the first to experience the newly renovated resort, which had just reopened after a major renovation. We stayed 8 nights in an overwater villa, which we booked with Marriott points. The renovated property is amazing. Everything seems to be brand new and the interior and exterior design is gorgeous. The buildings and rooms seamlessly blend with the environment of the island. The main pool (WET) is redesigned and expanded. The gym is also expanded and is well stocked with everything we needed for great workouts. Some construction work was still on going during our stay (March 2025), but it didn’t really affect our vacation other than some occasional noise in the distance and the fact that the Fire Restaurant was not yet open. The resort’s four other restaurants were open and the food was amazing. As other reviews note, the food is expensive, but we felt the cost was mostly justified by the high quality and the fact that you are on an Island and everything has to be shipped in. Also, as a Marriott Titanium member, breakfast was complementary, which helped defray the overall food cost. The relaxing breakfasts were a highlight of our stay with one of the most amazing buffets we’ve ever seen at a hotel. It was as if the chef took the best foods from around the world and brought them to the W for the guests to enjoy. We took advantage of complementary fitness classes (yoga, boxing, core, etc,) which were great and led by the talented instructors at FIT. Snorkel gear is complementary, along with stand up paddle boards and kayaks. So lots of reasons to get out onto the water. The house reef is amazing and we saw tons of fish, turtles and sharks while snorkeling and also while simply looking into the water from the deck at our room. But what really stands out about the W Maldives is the people who work there. I travel often and stay at hotels around the world. I’ve never experienced such warmth and friendliness from a team at a hotel. Within hours of arriving, everyone knew us by name. Everyone genuinely cared about providing exceptional and memorable service. The team delighted in providing little surprises to enhance our vacation and anniversary / birthday celebration. A huge thank you to Christian and his amazing team. Special mention to Cindy, Saha, Koke, Kai (who sent calamine lotion to our room when he noticed my wife had a sunburn), Chunky, Hussain, John / Aquaman (with awesome snorkel advice), Arro (thanks for chocolate wake up drink and Netflix recommendations at breakfast), Isse, who kept our room absolutely spotless, and the fantastic FIT crew of Mark, Tutu and Zarifa (thanks for the great yoga instruction)! The only problem we experienced the entire vacation was that we didn’t want to leave to go home. ;) We are already trying to plan a time for our return visit!

A couple of days ago we arrived back home from the Paradise at W Maldives and we can think about this Resort only with superb opinions. The place itself is amazing. The refurbished villas are really very beautiful, modern and top notch. We booked an overwater villa by Marriott Bonvoy , and as a Platinum member we hoped an eventual upgrade. At the arriving our guide, Aanis showed us our booked overwater villa, which is really impressive, but we were very happy, as he told we could choose a beach villa, if we wanted to. The villa No112 was showed to us, and we liked it immediately. The interior is far more better, than we saw on former pictures. The room is spacious and bright, the bed is very comfy, there is a lot of space to put the belongings. The new and huge smart TV is a pro, we could connect our devices , and see streamings in the evenings. We used the Nespresso coffee- machine everyday. Unfortunately there is no more W Mixbar, but they refilled our minifridge with soda and juices everday. The bathroom is huge and very nice. The shower is very good, the pressure and the temperature of the water is superb. We enjoyed the relaxing and calm sorroundings, the trees and bushes, and the very fine sandy bech as well. We enjoyed the pool outside, (which got a very new surface - not rough any more! ), the sunbeds beside the pool and on the beach. It was only minor negative, that sometimes snorkelers put their belongings on our sunbeds while they were in the sea, because the exit to the reef was near to our villa. I would recommend to the managemant to put something , ( e.g a bank or a table) for this purpose near to this point. We could enjoy the complimentary breakfast every morning. Every dishes are fresh and delicious, and the selection is wide enough. We are very thankful for the whole staff of the Kitchen, especially Celine, who took care of us very kindly, and Wasantha, who was very kind as well. We ordered some times the in-room-dining, which was always very fine and enough. We dined two times in the Fish Restaurant , both were delicious. Some info's about the mealplans: if You have complimentary free breakfast, you have to pay for HB 195 USD/pp/day, for FB 275 USD/pp/day and for AI 390 USD/pp/day. We didn't choose any of them. As our villa lays on the north side of the island, at 4 PM became a little bit shady, so we moved to the main pool, which is very beautiful. The new slide looks very trendy, we didn' try it. The jacuzzi is very fine, but if you look for a really hot tub, this isn't. The staff at the Wet Bar is very kind as well. We got delicious cocktails and even fresh cut coconut as well. Special thanks to Claire , who took care of us , and told a lot of interesting facts about the Resort. She organised for us even a behide the scenes tour , and we vere happy to check out, how the employees are living in the center of the island. Very thank to Amila and Harald, the managers. W Maldives is a place that never fails to amaze! The hospitality is excellent, with every detail thoughtfully taken care of. The staff are truly friendly and attentive, always going the extra mile to make your stay memorable. The renovation is stunning—especially the blue bathtub and the wall of light behind the bed. Everything feels brand new, modern, and unmistakably W! There’s so much more to love about W Maldives—the amazing snorkeling, lively parties, and incredible vibes—but I probably don’t need to go into detail, because these are things everyone already knows. This place truly lives up to its reputation!

Hi everyone.Wanna describe my experience in W Maldives.Hotel is located at small island (Ari atoll).I like snorkeling and for me was very important home reef.And very important that this reef Wothout current at all,its makes ur snorkeling amazing.We saw a lot of fish’s,sharks,turtles.Very very live reef.For accommodation we have chosen water villa premier.And it was amazing experience.We Like style of villa,evrything modern and non usual.Guy who cleaned our villa was amazing,I have never seen cleaning like he did. He was putting things in order. He arranged every lipstics,Liners and creams on the table.He organaized evrything in our villa. Thank u so much Jampe)))We got a great impression from the restaurants in W.I was in a lots of hotel in Maldives (Soneva,Emerald,etc) and food which we tried here its the highest level of skill.W team always offered try smth new and each beverages were new for us:)Wanna say thank u very much to all restaurants team (Liru,Baka,Vasanta,Nur,Tendai).Also wanna remark how team organaized for us place at beach under the trees without sun.There were amazing services from pool bar,Muheima (Maxim)did evrything to take care about us when we were at beach.He also speak Russian vey good!!!!!Feel like at home)))))Now time to remark Underwater diving center.We took 6 diving,snorkeling trips with amazing instructor Adel.He explained everything clear and we felt comfortable.Also wanna say thank u to our butler Gulnaz.She did evrything for us .We will back:)

We had the most incredible experience at W Maldives – not only because of the stunning surroundings and luxury, but truly because of the amazing team who made us feel so welcome and cared for. A huge thank you to Nehal from the kitchen, who consistently went out of his way to offer us delicious food choices and made every meal feel personal. He was especially wonderful with our baby, Salama – always kind, thoughtful, and full of warmth. Ayesha at reception gave us the warmest welcome we’ve ever had at any resort. She’s a joy to talk to, full of positive energy, and made us feel right at home from the first moment. Mohaimen at WET quickly became Salama’s favorite person on the island! His kind nature and playful personality brought so much joy to our days by the pool. And a heartfelt shoutout to Bonita, whose smile and helpfulness never faded. She went above and beyond for us every single day and was so gentle and loving with Salama – we’re so grateful for her care. The resort was amazing, even with our salama 6 month old we enjoyed our time and staff helped us to make it memorable. food was amazing the only thing that island miss is a proffesional barista ! And cheers for the photographer for the amazing photos!! And thanks for saha for making everything easy and enjoyable ! ( late night baby puree) We will back soon !

The villa was just so pretty , the services was excellent . They are always trying to exceed your expectations living up to the W motto of whatever / whenever . Everyone is so friendly , breakfast was great . The house reef here is amazing , we did our first dive here and was just so good

We had a great time at W Maldives. It was clean and the food was delicious. The staff was friendly. Ali Salim in particular was very friendly. He helped us take underwater photos with turtles and took great pictures and videos. I will never forget it. Aisha also tried her best to help us, who were not good at English. The other staff members were also very friendly and provided great service. If you visit W Maldives, you will have a great experience.

It’s an amazing place, food, view, sunset, snorkeling are all the best! The hotel takes care of all our needs. We’ve been to Maldives before, but I have to say W Maldives really surprise us. We felt so sad when leaving, and we would definitely be there again!

Hi all This is my sixth visit to Maldives . I have stayed in some excellent resorts like ritz Carlton , ST Regis , J W Marriott and jumeirah. This is by far has been exceptionally amazing . Reef is unbelievable, food is great and the rooms are excellent. I have tried both overwater and beach villas . Special thanks to Callisa , Sandra , Hassan , Zari and all the amazing team at W who made our stay amazing

Loved every second of my stay!! Amazing property!! Well designed rooms!! The staff is incredibly helpful n warm!! Amazing activities be it yoga, core workout, aqua fit n many more!! Amazing food especially being a vegetarian taken care of sooo well!! Thank u to the amazing chef Vasantha.at the kitchen Mani Naidu silva at the sip for all his amazing mock tails n cocktails.. , Dheeko at the reception.. these r just a few to mention I thank each n every one here for their hospitality!!
