2 Friends Beach Hotel

Don’t order the 2 friends special anymore I used to like the 2 friends special. It’s a Nile perch fillet, steamed in a banana leave with lemon grass. I usually order it with goncha, ripe plantain. Today the portion was small, the banana leave was open , the fish was rather cold. Obviously the restaurant is unable to maintain quality, but they maintain the price, of course. The waiter confirmed that it’s probably because there were Alonso other meals, an excuse I will never tolerate. So, while the view is nice, eat somewhere else!!!!

Second time staying at this quaint little hotel and I still loved it! Customer service was excellent. Our room was nice and overlooked the pool. Breakfast was warm and delicious. Absolutely wonderful all around. I wish we could have stayed here longer. The hotel shuttle is a BIG PLUS. Even though it was midnight, we were picked up immediately after grabbing our bags and then driven to the hotel where we were checked in quickly so that we could get some much-needed rest.

This is a great hotel. The staff are amazing, we were very well looked after when we stayed here for 12 days. We were visiting family in the area. The location is wonderful, right by Lake Victoria. The restaurant on the lake is fantastic, and the hotel bar, breakfast and pool all nice. We had the balcony room 22 overlooking the lake. Highly recomended.

Great stay at 2Friends Beach Hotel. The room was spotless, with a view of Lake Victoria. The grounds are lush and lovely. The food and service in the restaurant was excellent (the restaurant was right on Lake Victoria). But it was the staff who made the stay memorable. There were two things we wanted to do in Entebbe (try to see the shoebills in Mabamba swamp and the source of the Nile). Diana arranged everything before we left the USA. When our flight was 3 hours delayed, it was Clare who provided guidance and ensured the taxi we were taking to the source of the Nile was informed. Upon check-in, it was the delightful, funny and smiling Patrick who took care of us. Pamela was our excellent server in the restaurant. The hotel is walking distance to the shopping mall (good food at Cafe Javas and there is a pretty big Carrefour there). It is also walking distance to the botanical garden. Highly recommend.

We stayed 2 nights before we headed out on Safari. It was a good spot to stop for a night or 2. It was a great location to walk to a large craft market and modern mall to pick up items needed and souvenirs. We enjoyed their pool and walked to the restaurant recommended at lakeside from there. It seemed as though they shared a kitchen, I would suggest for evening food service u ask if u could have food served at hotel and not restaurant as the restaurant? Owner ?? was a loud, obnoxious, drunk who belittled his staff and shouted incessantly. During afternoon when he was not there we enjoyed our lunch. The hotel had a great breakfast in the morning. The staff and managers were delightful. Rooms were clean and basic with AC. Loads of hot water for shower. Staff were very helpful in dealing with Brussles Airlines who lost our bags. I would stay again! Staff were delightful!
