Sunnyside Holiday Bungalow

Very good place for affordable prices and with delicious food. Even though it's closer to the town the environment is calm. Rooms are spacious. Staff is friendly. Home cooked meals are delicious. Highly recommended.

We were a group of 6 and the moment our van turned into the driveway we were greeted with the ambience of the old world charm of an estate bungalow. Our hosts Cynthia & Roshan made us feel comfortable from the word go. When we were not out & about the sights in Ella we would walk around the lovely garden taking in the sight & sounds of nature or simply sit around the sprawling verandah & chat away, so much to catch up on! The bungalow is so much in tune with nature, the fauna & flora definitely a soothing factor. Some of us even spotted fawn darting in & out of the trees amongst various other birds squirrels etc. We could order whatever we wanted from a choice of breakfast menu's. The meals were simple yet, delicious. There was plenty to go around (considering our voracious appetites!) The rooms were spacious & comfortable. Sunnyside caters to varied holiday makers. If you're looking for a quiet retreat, in comfortable surroundings, maybe do some reading, writing, painting, playing board games or simply relaxing, this is the place to be. This bungalow is also good for the weary traveler who would be out the whole day taking in the sights & experiences of Ella, to come back & rejuvenate for the next day. The spot is super convenient. Only 400 meters from the railway station & a 10 -15 min walk into the quaint & bustling town. All in all it is a lovely place & we hope to go back for another enjoyable visit.

Hi, We were welcomed by Cynthia and her warm smille. Roshan helped us to find a van to visit the surrouding places. Both of them were very eager to help. We stayed for 2 nights with 2 other families. We all enjoyed both the sumptious meals. A lot of varieties both for breakfast and dinner. The rooms were spotless clean. Hope to come back! All the best. It is 12 long years since I last stayed at SHB; when we went as a Team & booked it out toto😲 This visit was .. an exceptionally wonderful experience, ‘again’ .. being hosted by Cynthia, Beno, Roshan & Staff over 3 days & 2 nights. The food was so yummy. I was presented with an astounding array of food; as my stay included Dinner too🤙
