Booked 1 night for watching Scotland V Australia. Fantastic location 10 mins walk to Murrayfield. Bus stop outside hotel for number 32 straight into city centre. Rooms were clean and had kettle tea/coffee. Shower was compact but water hot and powerful. Now BREAKFAST. beautiful cooked fresh plenty of tea/coffee and continental breakfast also available was asked if we need any more items but was full. Would defo use again

Can’t praise David too highly for the helpful friendly informative and efficient approach he displayed in making us feel so welcome to Duthus Lodge. An ideal location from which to explore Central Edinburgh and all of the wonderful things it has to offer. Would definitely look to stay again as it was ideal in every way including an incredibly comfortable bed !

Excellent service amd care, David is very helpful and kind. In a nice and quiet area, about 2 km from the centre with a bus stop in front. Good breakfast for a very reasonable price. Comfortable bed and pillows. There was also a fridge in the room. Towels and toiletries are provides. It has a well taken care of garden where you can sit when sunny and enjoy. (For those interested,smoking was allowed there)

The room was nice in terms of cleanliness and amenities, and property manager helpful. However, we booked a “non smoking” room and it was clear it had been smoked in before - everything smelled like stale cigarettes. They also have electric showers and the water pressure is terrible.. it worked for us but has room for improvement.

This is a lovely hotel just 12 minutes walk from Murrayfield stadium. The rooms were spacious, very tastefully decorated, super clean and very comfortable. The hotel owners and staff were so friendly and helpful and the host went out of his way to find our details of our trains for us. All in all a fabulous experience.

Lovely place, ideal for our stay as we were attending a concert at Murrayfield Stadium which was within easy walking distance. David and Corena were very response to queries in advance and kindly prepared our room early. David was there to greet us on arrival. The room itself was great for me and my daughter, well presented, and clean with a quiet view over the garden. Will definitely have no hesitation in staying here again. Thank you

Perfect location with bus, tram, train and eateries within walking distance. Our host David was extremely helpful and offered many tips to assist us exploring Edinburgh. We felt like we were saying goodbye to a friend after our five day stay.

Stayed here for the fringe for 2 nights, wasn’t too bad a location about 10 minutes to Haymarket Station. What I found disappointing was the lack of interaction from staff, we didn’t see anyone the whole time we were there. Rooms were a little dusty and the pillow case had a stain on, but no one around to mention it to. Ideally you want people on site to discuss any issues with. The stay sufficed our needs, a bed, as out all day experiencing the fringe, but wouldn’t stay again. Found it very average, and it has so much potential.
