Destiny Student - Holyrood (Brae House)

Area for improvement : - Chair arm broken - plastic tube detached - USB charging not working

Really small room, facilities are old and uncomfortable. Receptionist girls are not friendly at all. Regret to book this place.

Great location, alot of attractions are within walking distance and close to public transport aswell. The city centre has plenty of places to eat including halal, vegan and vegetarian places/options. The accommodation looked clean on a surface level but I did have to wipe everything down for my own comfort, parts of the room had stains so maybe they didn'tdo a good job cleaning. The ensuite room is fairly private, there is a shared kitchen area at the end of the hall in the apratment but it'sfairly private and people keep to themselves. Disappointingthat they said it was adults only and we had children in our apartment throwing tantrums in the AM when i was trying to sleep. They provide 1 towel per guest and a tiny tube of shampoo/body wash. You will need: your own handwash, hand towel, slippers, I would recommend your own body wash- it's maybe enough for 1 wash so better to bring your own. The bed is small but 2 adults can fit if you get snug. The reception is 24hr, they lend out irons and fans if you want them. The staff are friendly, so overall ok. We booked last minute so it was reasonable for the price.

Close to the road and noisy at night. The bathroom has a bit of an odor. The facilities are alright and the location is quite convenient if you are only staying for a short period of time. Relatively affordable

This was fine for a hostel. Room was small but fine for a short stay and plenty of storage. Ensuite shower room and shared kitchen with TV/lounge areal. No air conditioning. Bunk beds not the most comfortable ever. Good location near Holyrood Palace, at the end of the Royal Mile and next to the Scottish Parliament and Arthur's seat.
