Ulasan Edinburgh Royal Mile

Pros: Great location, within easy walking distance to most Edinburgh attractions, such as Edinburgh castle, royal mile, princess street, Beverly station, grass market and so on. Friendly staff, relatively new building and facilities. Cons: the room cannot be ventilated as the window is fixed. My room was very smelly, smells like dogs.

services are good and be considerate, the food is delicious.

Services attitude of most of staff is not up to expectations. Not helpful, initiative and sincere. With the only exception of the lady duty manager who serviced us in the first evening upon boarding. Breakfast and dinner combo package is a steal indeed. Very nice and cost effective.

Its a Premier INN, a low cost, basic hotel room. The rooms are a good size but the double bed has only two pillows. There was only one large towel in the room. There is no fridge. We were given only one room key which can be a bit annoying. It has minimal service, minimal staff, you can self check-in and just drop the keys to check out. It is Ok if you are clear on what you are getting.

위치도, 미리 예약, 결제해서 가격도, 서비스도 모두 굿이었어요. 특히 대표가 손으로 직접 쓴 엽서와 초콜릿바도 인상적이었습니다. 담번에 에딘버러 간다면 꼭 다시 가고픈 호텔입니다^^ 다시 리모델링했는지 청결도도 너무 좋았습니다. 단 한가지, 이름이 바뀌었는데 트립닷컴에 있는 이전 호텔명으로 한창 그 앞에서 헤맨건 좀 아쉬움으로 남습니다

酒店周邊最近在施工，所以有點不好找，但是環境，設施及服務都還不錯，沒有不滿意的。

방음도 잘되고 청결하였습니다 잘 이용했습니다

Lovely hotel in a good location just off the Royal Mile. Staff were polite, friendly and helpful. I took the meal deal offer for breakfast and dinner and there was a good selection and food was delicious. I booked a premier plus room and the room was very spacious, the bed was huge and i nearly had to climb into! Nespresso machine, kettle tv, iron and hairdryer all provided. More sachets of tea, coffee etc are available at reception beside the lifts as well as vending machines. Bathroom was spacious and included a bath and rainfall shower.

To me, this is a perfect hotel set up for people looking for a reasonably priced hotel in a prime location and also a high quality set up for a great night sleep. It has the most important things I look for: prime location near the top sites, 24x7 staff very helpful and friendly makes everything so much easier and more enjoyable, no waiting in line to check in due to having 3 places to check in: 2 kiosks & also a staff person. I felt great after an awesome night sleep due to the high quality bed/bedding, super quiet (AC unit is whisper quiet, walls/halls/bathrooms constructed really wells so I didnt hear other guests,), and blackout shades keep city lights out well. It's cleverly set up with controls for everything handy right from your bed. The rooms are small but prices on everything have gotten so crazy to travel now, and I'm there to see sites vs sit in my room a lot; so I would rather keep my hotel cost reasonable to have more money for nice meals, fun activities, or maybe staying an extra night. They do need to stay a little more on top of keeping AC units working as my first night it wasn't working, but they fixed by the 2nd night...so just keep an eye on reviews to ensure that isn't something that continues to be reported in the most recent reviews.

The Hub was perfect for me: one person on a business, looking for a place to sleep with basic amenities. I loved the small layout of the Standard room; personally I think the average hotel room/suite is way too large when you're traveling alone and I don't know what to do with myself when there's so much space. I love the compartmentalization: the coat hangers behind the mirror, the bed with the headboard of digital buttons for the lights, the wall-mounted TV at the end of the bed, the small bathroom with the waterfall shower. It's all very nice and efficient. What I wasn't a fan of was the faded and worn feel of the room. I did have an issue with my air conditioning unit (it wasn't cooling the room much, if at all) and when I told the staff before heading out for work, I returned and got no feedback on the issue. Luckily the weather was mild, so it wasn't much of an issue, but I did find that the room was stuffy at night. Other than that, the other issue is mostly just aesthetics. The duvet insert that poked out from the cover seemed clean but stained. The carpet was faded and worn and felt dusty. There were tiles in the bathroom that were loose and had no grout, so they shifted underfoot. The shower corners had rust and water leaked onto the floor after use. None of these things were dealbreakers for me, but they were inconveniences and took away from the chic, efficient vibe that The Hub seems to be going for. It did feel like I wasn't quite getting enough bang for my buck. That being said, I would stay in an updated and air conditioned room in a heartbeat! The location is amazing, just down a side street from The Royal Mile, and like I said before, the layout of the Standard room is wonderful for a single person (I would not recommend for couples though).

Please take care when booking. Premier Inns are in my experience good places to stay but their Hub places are nothing like as good as the others. Rooms are tiny, no desk, one chair only, double bed is accessed from one side only, awkward for a couple staying. Shower room is immediately next to the bed, So when going to the loo at night the light/fan comes on immediately you open the shower room door which of course wakes the other person you might be with. In fairness the bed was reasonably comfortable. The Edinburgh Royal Mile Hub isn't actually on the Royal Mile though it isn't far away. Staff were helpful and polite but we couldn't change to another room as all were booked. Breakfast was reasonably priced and a decent choice of the continental type. Another visitor reported problems with wi-fi in his room and wanted to change, but couldn't. Hub Rooms might be OK for one but not for two. So please be careful when booking or you could end up with a less than satisfactory room.
