Strategic location in Edinburgh city, great for business traveller too. Nice breakfast and great view of Edinburgh castle.

More like a 3⭐️ than 4 stars hotel. Room is average size and toilet is tiny. Water got splash everywhere after shower. Everything is old and needs maintenance in the room we got. We checked in on a Friday night and loud music can still be heard past midnight.

Staff were friendly and respectful. The room was nice and clean.

Quick and easy check in. Location was great close to coffee shops and great pubs. Room was clean and the shower was good. Everything we needed for our time in Edinburgh.

The room is clean, but the supporting facilities are a little lacking, the bathroom is a little narrow, and the room price is not cheap.

The bathtub is a bit small and the location is a bit off. It is quite convenient to go to TLS to submit your visa

The room is really average, the soundproofing is not very good, the room layout is also very strange, some rooms of the same level have bathtubs and some do not. Although the location is very good, right under the Edinburgh Castle, the overall price is still expensive

The overall rating of this hotel is average and not worthy of the price. The location is great, only 10 minutes walk to the castle. I booked a castle view room and the view was great, as shown in Figure 2. It was basically the same as the promotional picture. However, the hotel is obviously old, mainly reflected in some hardware facilities. for example 1⃣️. You can clearly feel the old floor under the carpet in the entire corridor of the room. When you walk in the room, you feel empty and stuffy under your feet, and there are sounds. 2⃣️. Secondly, the sound insulation is poor, mainly reflected in the entire wooden floor structure. The sound of external walking is transmitted into the room very loudly through the old floor. It sounded like there was constant walking around upstairs. 3⃣️. Facilities and services need to be strengthened, the bath towels still have holes, and the supply is not enough. 4⃣️. Disposable supplies are not provided and need to be requested. I asked for two toothbrushes, but the toothpaste was still expired. As shown in Figure 1, it has been expired for more than half a year. 5⃣️. The bath water is too small and too cold. The heating was insufficient, the hot water was small, and I was freezing to death. I don’t know if it’s because the city has a strong historical atmosphere, so they all have this kind of old-fashioned building, or if it’s because of individual hotel differences. Overall, if I go to Edinburgh again, I will choose another hotel and try again. It shouldn't be worse than this one.

The hotel is too old. The floor under the carpet is creaky. It is expensive. Not recommended.
