The hotel service was ok but the shower area was not very good. Toiletries were not of good quality as well.

Breakfast is very good . So is location . Rooms are fine with a hot shower . Would stay here again

Hotel in central location room very comfortable but very warm due to weather. Breakfast was fantastic delighted with the booking was an absolute bargain through Trip.com during the Royal military tattoo and fringe season! Would definitely return!

We had the most horrendous 2 nights stay in the St Mary's St Edinburgh Travelodge 9th - 11th August '24! Both my partner and I were badly bitten by bed bugs. Travelodge eventually reimbursed us for the 2 nights stay but the physical (and mental) scars are still there... Beware!

Rooms where lovely spotless very comfortable staff was absolutely amazing nothing was a bother very helpful. And would definitely recommend the breakfast wow they had everything full breakfast was hot at all times nothing over cooked food was amazing and staff was great very friendly helpful will definitely be back so central for lots to do had a great few days 🥰

Excellent Sunday morning breakfast staff very good say special hi and thanks to Fyfe :) certainly be back Edinburgh is also worth a visit and this Travelodge is good but the staff make it better :) so I’d definitely recommend that breakfast and the respectfully good time it was. Nice one!

I stayed here two years ago, so I knew what to expect. I initially booked five nights for a belated birthday trip. I paid £28-£35 per night. From Edinburgh Airport you can get a tram to Princes Street then walk through Waverley Station, come out onto Market Street then it's a five to ten minute walk to the hotel. The hotel is in a city so if you are expecting a monastery experience then you'll in for a surprise. When checking in, the receptionist asked if we wanted a room on the ground floor or a room upstairs. My mum is physically challenged and didn't want the faff with stairs so she asked for a room on the ground floor. I reminded her that lifts have been invented. There are rooms down the corridor from reception which she was hoping to get but instead we got a room downstairs in the basement. When we entered the room there was a swarm of police cars outside. I know it was no fault of the hotel's but my mum and I didn't feel safe so we asked to be moved. The staff were great and we got reallocated to the 5th floor. The lift stops at the 4th floor then there's one flight of stairs to the 5th. The room was fabulous! Clean,comfortable and the bath was an added bonus. Tea/coffee was provided as well as shower gel.Wi fi was good. Free for 30 minutes then you pay £3 per day. I highly recommend asking for a room on the upper levels, car park side. Close to local amenities and attractions. On the Royal Mile there is a bus that goes to Ocean Terminal if you are interested in The Royal Brittania Yacht. Several public traffic options are available on Princes Street. The World's End is a lovely pub, serves great food but it's small so I suggest making a reservation. Due to Storm Èowyn my flight got cancelled. I rescheduled my flight and booked another two nights. The only room available on the Travelodge's website was a Superoom Double. The room was advertised as being on a quieter floor. The room was on the 3rd floor. Traffic noise could be heard but it wasn't a major issue. The room had a coffee machine, ironing board, hot chocolate, a couple of kit kats, a hairdryer, and a swivel chair. Paid £72 per night. Considering it was a last minute booking and for a weekend stay I thought it was great value.

This was very adequate for what we paid. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were very pleasant and breakfast served was of a good standard.

Got a deal for a night in Edinburgh and this was best deal for travel lodge in central location. Can't grumble at all. Room spotless, bed comfy and quiet! Staff lovely and even gave me a phone charger when I thought I had lost mine. Perfect wee stay and will return!
