I planned this trip here to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and be close to nature and peace. I will put my reviews under the good, bad, feedback, and conclusion. Bad things: - The reservation team and check-in front desk staff didn’t hear out our requirement of allocating a peaceful room. We were not aware of the group reservation there and the kids from that group kept knocking on our door thinking the room could be of their friends, the night was quite loud, and the neighbor kids were loud both in the morning and night. - Poor bathroom ventilation or just the bad smell but yeah needs good ventilation - parqueting is all loose and pops up - housekeeping needs to pay attention to dirty marks on linen, dust in air conditioning, dust on the windowsills - bathroom molds - the resort is not as peaceful and close to nature as expected. The road noise from the vehicles can easily be heard and is quite a turn-off to escapers. The only area you feel near to nature is the helipad area. - Since Dhulikhel is getting crowded and populated, the few hills that you can see are all naked. This is heartbreaking to witness. Feedback: - onsite staff needs to be educated about the area, activities, and attractions well so that the guests can be guided properly. - This place needs a renovation DESPERATELY. The cottage structure gives a good vibe but disappointment starts after entering the room. Thus, this place needs a desperate renovation. - sales or reservation team needs to be educated as well on the resort area, activities, and attractions well so that the guests can be guided properly and not just focus on bookings and pricing. - sales or reservation team also should be aware of other bookings so that they can advise the guest what to be expected accordingly. Regarding this, in our case, we kept mentioning we can have a peaceful time and a good view during our stay while inquiring and reservation. If only they had told me about there is a group reservation, we would have chosen to go there some other time. If only the reservation team could be aware, we wouldn’t be having any disturbance. - please do not promote the swing area or tennis area as a selling point. They are not proper at all and people checking in for those selling points can be greatly disappointed. - DMR should focus on investing in lands to explain their areas so that they can keep themselves near to nature and away from road noises. Good things: Helipad area: quite relaxing and greenery area Restaurant area: both indoor and outdoor door options were good Food: Both the dinner and breakfast were delicious with decent options. Staff: Friendly Conclusion: I had mixed feelings about my stay. So, the trip wasn’t that bad but it wasn’t that good as well. I kept wondering if was it worth the money. The place is good for people/ group who wants to hang out, dance, sing and make memories. It is not a place to escape for peace and nature.
