This time I came to Datong Ancient City with my friends and chose a suite at Shiguang Yunshu Hotel. It was really a great experience! First of all, the location of the hotel is very convenient. It is close to the main attractions of the ancient city and can be reached on foot, saving a lot of transportation time. There are also many special snacks and restaurants around. You can have a midnight snack after visiting the ancient city at night. It’s so convenient! The hotel's suites are stylishly designed, spacious and bright, and the decoration style combines modern and ancient city elements, which is both fashionable and cultural. The bedding was very comfortable and I slept soundly. The bathroom was also very clean with plenty of hot water, which washed away the fatigue of the day. What surprised us most was the floor-to-ceiling windows in the room. When we opened the curtains in the morning, we could see the scenery of the ancient city, which was especially suitable for taking photos and checking in! The service was impeccable. The lady at the front desk was very enthusiastic. She recommended nearby tourist routes and food for us, and also thoughtfully prepared welcome fruits for us. The whole stay was very pleasant and felt like home. In short, I was very satisfied with the experience of staying at Shiguang Yunshu Hotel. Whether it was the transportation, environment or service, it was very impressive. I highly recommend it to friends who come to visit Datong Ancient City! I will definitely choose here again next time I come to Datong!

Spacious room, clean and comfortable. Breakfasts were more than adequate with a choice of varieties. Hotel location was ok just outside the wall though neighbouring shops were all shuttered. Taxis plentiful and inexpensive. Nightly dinner was at the hotel restaurant - good food, surprisingly very affordable prices and extremely good services from the staff. What stood out most were the very helpful, cheerful staff, at the front desk, restaurants, and cleaners!

The hotel is situated not far from the old walled town and equal distance to the shopping area. Formerly a Holiday Inn now independent. The rooms are large and comfortable with good work desk and wifi. Comfortable bed gives good rest. The fridge had been removed but there is kettle and plenty of water, every day some fruit was delivered to the room which I appreciated. Hotel has gym, swimming pool and two restaurant, given the price it was very good value for money and I would happily stay again.

The hotel is in a good location with the ancient city behind it. The room is decorated in a beautiful European style with an artistic atmosphere, clean and tidy. At night, you can see the scenery of the ancient city after the lights are on outside the window. The bathroom facilities are a little old, after all, it is a renovation of an old hotel. The breakfast is varied and rich, and the knife-cut noodles are really delicious. Parking is convenient with security guidance.

Very good experience with hotel. Room was comfortable and the bathroom design is good. Reception staff was very helpful and provided good advice of Datong's tourist attractions. Hotel provided refreshment in the evening which was an excellent way to differentiate itself from the competition. Tried their chicken during early lunch and it was really tasty. Also, the staff kindly allowed me to play their Yamaha piano at the lobby. I would recommend this hotel to people visiting Datong.

I loved this hotel. It has an old-fashioned charm that made me feel right at home. My room was very large, comfortable, and well-equipped. All of the staff and service people were extremely courteous from start to finish. The Chinese restaurant on the 7th floor has a great choice of dishes! Highly recommended, and excellent value for money. A great base for exploring the sights around Datong.

You have to stay here! Everything is perfect. Hotel is lovely. Staff are so welcoming and helpful. We had a problem and one staff member had excellent English and could solve our problem. The breakfast in the morning was delicious. Thank you again, I highly recommend your hotel.

It is located in the city center and close to Goseong, where major tourist attractions are located. It is convenient to travel and participate in tours from the day tour pick-up location of Xianggong Temple and Ningxiang Wooden Pagoda near Datong.
