It was an amazing experience. The weather was nice but Atleast a ceiling fan should be there. Everything else was nice. The view was also beautiful.

While the location is good, the food quality at the breakfast buffet wasnt great. Plus its not clearly mentioned its a pure veg hotel. The hotel is clearly not worth the price it’s charging.

Far away from mall road. Totally vegetarian food. Staff behavior is very good. If you want to stay peaceful environment than it is best choice for stay.

The stay at istana resort & spa was horrible. We had booked 2 rooms of same category but one of the room was below standard and had damp patches and fungus infesttaion on one of the wall. Inspite of making the aware of the issue and asking them to change the room. The staff shows helplessness. Kids play room was there but all items which the kids were asking were missing and the play room was hardly of any use. Room service was extremely terrible and had to make no. Of calls for every requirement. Overall very unpleasant experience at the hotel and would advise others also to desist from making reservation at this hotel.

There are few facts which i am sure is not mentioned in the hotel details:
1) it is a strictly veg hotel. 2) the road to the hotel is very steep and very narrow. If you are not a seasoned hill driver, you will end up burning your clutch 3) the front desk staff is extremely uncooperative. I had a car problem and requested the front desk staff to send someobe with me to get my luggage from 50 metres down but they did nothing. I requested so much but they did not pay any heed to my request. 4) the quality of food is very average and there is minimal staff in the hotel to help. 5) rooms are good and spacious with very good view but there is no provision of ac or fan. Overall it's a thumps down to this hotel.

Istana as a resort or hotel is above average. Beautiful location. No complaints about room. However breakfast or food from sagar kitchen is too bad. Too much expensive no taste.

It was an excellent stay at istana, the property is a beauty. The room was clean, adequately provided supplies. The room also had a balcony with a hill view. The food was delicious and there was a good variety of food provided in the buffet and breakfast. The hotel had an open space where you can spend time with your family and friends. The behaviour of the staff and management was very cordial. It was a great stay at istana.
