"The location is fantastic, especially if you want to enjoy views of the famous rock right from the pool — it’s truly a highlight of the stay. The buffet is generous, offering a good mix of local and international dishes, so there’s something for everyone. We stayed in one of the bungalows, which were spacious, surrounded by nature, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. It was a treat to spot different animals around the property, which added a unique charm to the experience. On the downside, the bike rental is significantly overpriced, and it seems that very few guests use them because of this. Additionally, many amenities — even something as basic as extra water — are quite expensive, which takes away slightly from the otherwise enjoyable experience. Overall, it’s a beautiful place in an unbeatable location, with great food and lovely surroundings, but some of the pricing policies could be more guest-friendly."

"I have to say, this hotel is one of the best hotels I have stayed in in Sri Lanka. It's only been open for 3 years, so everything is new. The hotel is in the form of a tree house, which is very unique, but there is no need to worry about safety issues. There are CCTVs everywhere in the hotel, and the hotel will ensure your safety. The hotel is very private, with only ten rooms in total, so it doesn't feel crowded or noisy at all, which is very suitable for vacation. The swimming pool is also very clean and the night view is beautiful. I would recommend this hotel to any friend who is going to Sri Lanka. Although it is not the most expensive hotel in my trip, it is the best and most impressive hotel. It’s really a treasure hotel~ I hope its business will get better and better^btw The breakfast is a set menu, which is delicious and rich~"

"I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Sigiriya Kingdom Resort. I made a confirmed booking at an agreed rate, but later—especially in the middle of the night—the hotel attempted to change the price. This is unacceptable and feels highly unprofessional. A confirmed booking should be honored, not altered under pressure. What made the situation worse was the lack of proper customer support. When I raised the issue, no clear explanation or reasonable solution was provided. Instead, my time was wasted with poor communication and no accountability from the staff. This kind of behavior damages trust and creates a very negative experience for guests. Transparency and honesty are basic expectations in hospitality, and unfortunately, this hotel failed in both. I strongly urge future guests to double-check all booking details and be cautious. I also hope the management takes this seriously and improves their customer service and ethical standards. And I'm traveling from almost 400 km away from their destination. Thats how they treated me. Disappointed and unacceptable"

"Stayed for 1 night. The hotel is located in a section from the main road. Booked Deluxe (#101). Large and clean room with all the amenities. Comfortable bed. Had a great rest. The hotel is a villa with several rooms. There is a swimming pool in the yard, it is illuminated, so swimming in it after sunset, to the sounds of the jungle is a special pleasure. There are several tables in the yard, you can take food, drinks with you and have a great evening. Walking distance to the main street 300 meters. There is a Pizza Hut nearby with takeaway food. Special thanks to the service staff. The girl on the belt immediately responded to any requests, such a bunny. Speaks English well. There were no problems with communication. Her colleague gave us freshly squeezed juice when checking in. The only downside of the hotel is the breakfast. It is meager: literally one egg, four slices of bread and two small sausages. The Sri Lankans will probably get their fill of this, but it wasn't enough for me."

"Firstly, as a solo traveller the prices are quite steep per room per night!! But hence everything else is far after visiting the Lion try I gave it a try. The place is beutiful but seemed the cleaning staff doesn’t refill bathroom soaps, towels and tissue quite often. Everyone including myself kept on asking the receptionist guy for stuff. My plug sockets didn’t work, I slept thinking my power bank and phone would be fully charged by the morning. The people are polite. Lots of noise at night and turns out it’s elephant 🐘 noise and dogs barking. So I missed a 2 good hours of sleep. They do try to fix the problems when you tell them about them."

The trees and river next to hotel mean you can always watch the nature that inhabits the area from the comfort of your table. Our room was spacious, modern and with good air conditioning. From the balcony, again, you could watch the monkeys and birds. The food is really first class, offering a good selection but obviously the Sri Lankan curry selection was particularly good. Also, for those cautious travellers, you can rest assured that the hotel takes great care in providing plenty of safe bottled water. This was a very peaceful experience and would highly recommend for anyone seeking this too."

"I stayed at Paradise Dambulla for one full week, and honestly, I can say this property’s biggest strength is its people. I have travelled quite a bit, but the warmth, kindness, attentiveness, and genuine care shown by the staff here is something very special. It never felt artificial or forced. Every single day, the team made the experience comfortable, relaxing, and memorable. Special thanks to Nikesha, Waruna, and Feros from the Front Office Department, Tharusha from Housekeeping, and the amazing F&B team including Damith, Lahiru, Thanuja and Dhanushka. Each of them created such a positive impression during my stay. A very special mention must go to Ranga, the F&B Manager. He is truly an asset to the hotel. Had a lovely small talk. An all rounder, highly professional, always attentive, and at the same time a genuinely kind gentleman who seems to support every department whenever needed. You can clearly see the teamwork among the staff, and I believe that is one of the main success stories behind this hotel. The rooms were excellent, the atmosphere peaceful, and the location itself is beautiful and relaxing. During the entire week, I genuinely could not point out a single bad experience. Paradise Dambulla should be proud of its people because they are the real highlight of this property and the reason guests will return again and again. Most definitely visiting again soon. "Staying here has turned my precious Sigiriya experience into a disappointing memory. I wouldn't have written this much if it weren't for the last incident, but it was just awful. - When I arrived, the hotel was closed and I couldn't get in (my reservation had been forgotten). - As a result, my check-in was delayed and I missed dinner at the hotel. It cost me extra time to go shopping and the cost of a tuk-tuk. - The towels were covered in dust, so when I dried myself off, I was covered in dust again. - There was a cockroach in the bathroom. - Only cold water came out of the shower. - The hotel internet stopped working, so I couldn't use my computer. The last incident was especially disappointing. Even though I had paid in advance with my credit card, they insisted, "You haven't paid, so pay up!" They didn't believe my argument at all and I wasted about 30 minutes of my time. It was a real shame about my precious Sigiriya experience."

"Lucky the host is the kindest man you will ever meet. My wife ended up in the Dambulla general hospital and I was very worried for her safety. Lucky, the manager, could not have been more helpful. He went out of his way to ferry me to and from the hospital. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are clean. The breakfast is delicious and all at a very good price. Well worth a visit if you are in the area."

"The first picture shows the bathroom when we entered the hotel room. I had to ask the staff to refill our shampoo and shower gel multiple times. The following pictures show the restaurant. We stayed for four nights and five days, and the breakfast was exactly the same every day. My child felt nauseous on the last day. The water in the kettle for making coffee at the breakfast buffet was cold, and the staff told me to scoop coffee grounds from an almost empty container and make my own. I have to conclude that none of the dozen or so hotel staff members possessed basic service etiquette. We had to repeatedly ask the front desk to clean our room or change our towels, making our stay extremely uncomfortable. I give this hotel a very negative review!"
