Wild Grass Nature Resort

We are a family of 4. This is an absolutely stunning place. We had the property all to ourselves and upgraded to a chalet with a private pool that overlooked the watering hole (The Eagles Nest). It was an amazing experience! Lots of wildlife (monkeys, monitor lizards, wild boars, crocodiles, and tons of bats). The latter, which are huge, come out at dusk and are amazing to watch. Staff are very professional, attentive, and helpful. They were incredible and made our stay memorable. Food was great, too. And they made some takeaway lunches for the road upon our departure. It was very sweet. You will not be disappointed, it’s a real experience.

"Everyone" is going to visit the lion's cliff and then you need a place to stay nearby. Widgrass natural resort was our choice and then we got the experience of being alone in the "jungle" at the same time. As the pictures from this place show, you have one of a handful of "jungle villas" all to yourself. If you dare to sleep with all the curtains drawn, then you sleep "in the jungle". One of the nights we heard a small crack and then saw a small elephant sneaking up to our villa. That was fun.

In the middle of beautiful jungle forest, but still close enough to all the important sights this region has to offer. The staff are impeccable and super friendly, the food was great, and they helped to arrange all our trips whilst there. It's a serene place that for anyone wanting to disconnect in a feast of greenery and warm hospitality, it's perfect.

Returned for our 4th visit to Wild Grass, only for 2 nights unfortunately this time. Definitely could do longer. It is absolutely stunning and so peaceful. The villas are very modern and spacious. AC was very efficient. And the bathroom!!! I loved it, especially the outdoor shower. Since our last visit some of the villas now have pools overlooking the lake. I'm so glad we decided to go with one of these. The staff and Mr Nimal all went out of their way to be helpful.

My stay at Wild Grass was truly delightful. The food was delicious, offering a variety of flavors that pleased every palate. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The serene environment, coupled with its prime location near a beautiful lake, provided a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. A special mention goes to Mr. Nimal, the manager, who went above and beyond to ensure that all our needs were met. His dedication to guest satisfaction was evident in every interaction. Overall, Wild Grass is a fantastic place to visit, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable getaway.

Our two-night stay at the Wild Grass Nature Resort in Sigiriya was truly exceptional. This retreat is a paradise for nature lovers and enthusiasts. It is a place to find solace and calm, and to move a step closer to mother nature. Our 10-day Sri Lanka tour included a two-night stay at Wild Grass. We were 5 of us from Bangalore, India- My husband and I, my nine-year-old son and my in-laws. Nestled amidst a forest, our villa, with its expansive glass doors and walls, immersed us in the natural surroundings. The spacious rooms were not only comfortable but also meticulously designed. It's the attention to these minor details that made our experience exceptionally comfortable, like finding a pair of scissors right in the room when needed. Our group was diverse in age and dietary preferences, ranging from an energetic child to a senior citizen with mobility limitations, and from pure vegetarians to enthusiastic non-vegetarians. Wild Grass catered to all of our needs, ensuring everyone felt at ease. The breathtaking view from our room, accompanied by the symphony of nature's sounds during the night and morning, was simply magical. This resort offers the perfect setting to disconnect from our busy lives and unwind. The beautiful lake on the property can provide endless hours of serenity and contemplation. I regret not being able to find the time to just sit by the lake and contemplate. A significant part of our incredible experience was thanks to Nimal, the manager at Wild Grass, and his dedicated team, who worked tirelessly to ensure our comfort. The food was delightful, and the personal touch to the entire experience made it unforgettable. During our stay, we also had the opportunity to explore the Sigiriya Fort and the ruins of Polonnaruwa, further enhancing our Sri Lanka adventure. In retrospect, we wished we had extended our stay at the resort, as one could easily make an entire vacation out of Wild Grass alone. We are already looking forward to our next visit to Sri Lanka, with Wild Grass Nature Resort on our list to unwind once more in the future.
