The man at the reception was very kind. The facilities and services are excellent, so you won't get bored even if you stay for a long time. The rooms are clean. The showers have hot water. The kitchen is spacious. There is also a video viewing room. Since it is in Cusco, tours will pick you up in front of the hotel. They will also store your luggage when you go to Machu Picchu. It was really good.

I stayed there the day I arrived in Cusco. I felt tired and my physical strength was declining because the altitude suddenly increased, but the staff were kind and I felt energized^^

The price is reasonable and it's very comfortable

I enjoyed my stay at bear packer hostel. It had very nice shared spaces and the private room where I stayed was great value for money. I went back twice within the same trip. Jose at reception is great! He will give you good tips and he is very sociable and polite. Location is also great, few minutes to San Pedro. I recommend this hostel!

Great location, 5 minute walk from the market, 10-20 from other main squares (plaza de armas) and markets (San Blas). They store your bags for free while you are out on hikes or excursions. They also pack you a "breakfast bag" upon request if you have an excursion before breakfast starts (bread, banana, cereal). Bed was very comfortable and our private room was really spacious! Breakfast is a nice variety -- bread and butter/jam, one egg scrambled, some cereal and yogurt (pre portioned), fruit, and coffee / tea. However, we did have some issues : 1) the hot water in the shower in our rooms would literally stop working after 30 seconds, we would have to turn the tap off, wait a minute, and then turn it back on -- it seemed like the hot water was "charging" during that time. 2) the breakfast staff makes it seem like you are bothering them when asking for the eggs and yogurt/cereal that the breakfast is supposed to provide. They are often busy chatting amongst themselves or making themselves food / eating their food. I have no problem with this (they need to eat and socialize too!) however we genuinely got some dirty / dark looks when "interrupting" them to ask for breakfast, as well as when I asked if I could remove their food they had finished microwaving so as to microwave one of the breads (which was stale from clearly the previous day). 3) there are no real clear windows for natural light in the hostel, so it feels very cold and enclosed, and there is no real sound isolation -- one night I was up for an hour because people were chatting and laughing drunkenly somewhere in the hostel from 2-3am. Overall a pretty solid place in Cusco - I would recommend and stay again, but would encourage management to look into the hot water shower issues and perhaps for breakfast staff to not make guests feel as though they are inconveniencing them by asking for breakfast.

The friendliest and most helpful receptionist that I've ever met works at Bear Packer in Cuzco, and his name is Bruno. Gracias por todo!! Apart from that, Bear Packer has free breakfast, free storage, free wifi, nice beds, a good location in Cuzco and beautiful murals all over the hostel. If I can wish something for my future visits, it would be a more sturdy system around the locking of the storage boxes (not the padlock itself, but the metal / wood that I attach the padlock to, to be more trustworthy). Really nice hostel, very chilled out. We booked a private room with an ensuite, it was clean, spacious and very reasonably priced. The staff here are extremely friendly and helpful, nothing was too much. The hostel is close to the town centre and is walking distance from many restaurants and cafes, it is also fairly close to attractions like Saqsaywaman. We really enjoyed our stay here.

I came to Cusco to do the Inca Trail with friends and stayed for a total of 3 nights. The rooms were clean, the shower had hot water, and the receptionists were all really nice! It helps to speak some Spanish though for the receptionists that take the night shifts. Great location near the city center. Would totally stay again.

A great stay for our night before the Inca trail. Warm shower and towels and friendly check in. Great location near gadventures our tour guide and close to many great restaurants and shops. Highly recommend for the value

We stayed in a private room with a bunk bed. The room was fairly tiny and dark. There wasn't much room to lay out our stuff besides a small bench and two lockers to store our stuff during the day. The hot water was inconsistent at times, but there was hot water. Overall, the stay was fine. The breakfast was very simple - a hard boiled egg, some bread with jam and some juice and coffee. While the place itself was fine, I would say the staff was very friendly and extremely helpful! A+ for the staff but so so for the accommodations.

Mama Simona's was a comfortable place to stay and a great location is Cusco, just an 8 minute walk away from Plaza des Armas. It was a little chilly when we were there, and the wifi was a bit spotty. However, we liked being somewhere quiet, clean, and friendly!

The facilities were clean and very comfortable, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and the location was great! They had great recommendations for restaurants and activities as well as a kitchen for preparing our own food. Would recommend!

Location is conveniently placed in the tourist district and right down the road is a 24 hr laundry and convenient store. The staff are nice, and the services are worth what you get for the price. The water is not always very hot, but it is a hostel. The lockers set up for you to leave your luggage is safe and convenient.
