Hotel Maestre

Nice little hotel within walking distance to most things. The local bus stops right outside. Hotel was comfortable, a bit cold in lobby, but rooms had adjustable controls. Twin room was two singles pushed together but can be separated. Good shower pressure and lighting in room. Pleasant stay

The hotel is very well located, close to the most important attractions of Cordoba. Clean rooms, very nice staff. There are plenty of great restaurants nearby where you can eat a very tasty breakfast. You can park your car in the parking lot of the hotel

We stayed in the hostel which is next to the hotel of the same name. A lovely and efficient welcome. A good clean and quiet room (10) overlooking an internal “patio”. But you do need to be able to do steps. Great shower pressure. A flat out all along the road by the river takes you past restaurants and gets you to the old bridge and Mesquita. I would stay here again

Beautiful, well appointed hotel. 5 minute walk to the river, bars and restaurants. Clean and cool with marble floors. Didn’t look much from outside but the inside was lovely. Great shower. Parking at the hotel was tight but adequate for city centre. 5 minute walk to cathedral. Well worth a visit.

4 stars is maybe a bit over-generous for the quality of the stay, but the location and cost were excellent and made up for some less positive aspects of the hotel. The rooms are basic, but clean. The bathrooms aren't very lovely, and would benefit from a bit of fresh tile-grouting, and a non-slip surface in the bath. The towels were clean, white and quite new, and the shower had strong water pressure and lots of hot water. The worst feature of the room we had (on the second floor) was the old and feeble air-conditioning - we were lucky to have missed the previous week's heatwave, but even so, the room got uncomfortably stuffy at times. There's a nice, cool patio on the ground floor which is a handy meeting point if you're travelling in a group. And there are lots of cafés and restaurants nearby for breakfasts, dinners and drinks. Overall, it's a great bargain hotel.

My boyfriend and I stayed two nights at the Maestra hotel. Upon arrival the room was sparkling clean with a residual smell of bleach, which said to me it had received a very deep clean. The receptionist was very friendly and blew me away with how quickly she could switch between Spanish, English and French. The hotel is very quaint and charming and centrally located, so that all the places of interest in Cordoba are easily reached on foot. The room faced out to a beautiful courtyard decorated with lots of plants. Despite the beds being on the small side we slept very well and enjoyed our stay. Breakfast isn't served at the hotel and I would highly recommend El Taberna El Pimenton - great food and low prices. There was only one power point in the bedroom so I would suggest to guests that have several devices or who are coming for an extended stay and have space in their bag, to bring a gang plug. We would stay here again!
